This just arrived, and I've been lapping it up. I hadn't even noticed that there were multiple Five Doctors discs, as I've been keeping strictly to daily viewing in order. It was spectacular at the time. One thing which I've just realised is that Kinda, Snakedance and the Pete Capaldi - Hugh Grant film Lair of the White Wyrrm form a kind of trilogy.
I got mine yesterday haven’t even looked through it all. I’ve been waiting for this one for years. I love the art work and some of the documentations too. Always love behind the sofa. This one and season 2 are my favourite artwork so far. Great video as always Jason 😊
That looks really cool. It also has a special edition of the 5 doctors without being a special edition. It means that you get to see it the way it originally broadcast all those years ago.
Just found out the next blu ray set is gonna be Season 15, Tom Baker’s fourth season. You guys get it next month so I’m sure we’ll get this at the end of the year.

I use my artist’s scalpal to easily slice open shrink-wrapped packaging. Another alternative, and probably best for you, is a crafting knife/blade you can buy from art/craft shops or from Amazon. This is also useful for opening peskily-sealed Amazon packages or any cardboard packaging, for that matter 😊
@@jarnopp that had been my second attempt to leave comment. In my original I began with “what’s S*t*n’s special bag? Hopefully it’s got some nice surprises inside” or something like that. It was only because I wanted to go back and correct something that I saw the algorithm had removed my message otherwise I’d never have known. I guessed it was because of word S*t*n so rewrote comment without it. This kind of thing has happened to me quite a few times on other RUclips channels and I’ve only discovered the auto-deletion by chance, though most times it can be caused by harmless words, such as recommending a RUclips channel name or even mentioning a famous name. It’s all rather strange

Another great looking set, I would go so far to say that these Blu Ray collection releases are up there with some of the best ever released, so many extras, great artwork, loads of fan service, cannot wait for this release

Just been told today by email that my copy has been dispatched from HMV. I loved Peter Davisons time as the 5th Doctor and have a waited a long time since season 19 for another 5th Doctor season. You've done a brilliant job on your video here. I love your videos and your enthusiasm for Doctor Who. Thanks for posting it. I'm a bit jealous because I wish mine was here. Just counting the days.
Region 1 get this release in June. You guys got this in September? Damn we have to wait 9 more months lol Plus our sets are generic looking you guys get the amazing versions. We also get The Celestial Toymaker animated blu ray in June.
So glad we got another Davison on Blu Ray at long last after 4 years. Wonder what took so long? Hope we get Season 21 relatively soon. I'm a little worried that another Standard Edition has not been announced yet, tho. I'm sure they've been selling just as well because I can NEVER find them in my local HMV.

Well it has to be that artwork on the back of the box! I'd have that on the wall in a frame. Also I know size isn't everything but Peter Davison's girth must be the envy of the other Doctors! I'm referring to the box of course.
That artwork has to rank highly among the very best of these sets. Have a few days off work, so hoping it arrives monday so I can have a proper dig into some episodes and features. Also, nice shirt. Did you pick it up at a mystery screening at the Metropol?
Can’t wait for a new way to enjoy The Five Doctors and boy that back Black Guardian artwork is top notch, but I love that inside Enlightenment-styled lit season 20 console room painting too. I’d love to see you do a Five Docs reaction. Yes please. A very important time in Who for everyone, but especially me as a teen. Adored it. I was there, VHS tapes in hand to grab all the appearances on Blue Peter and my first proper Who recording on my new video recorder was indeed said Five Doctors. Fabulous artwork all the way through the booklet. Mawdryn is the pinnacle of Peter Davison’s stories, something for everyone. Fan service, time travel paradoxes and it beats Androzani hands down. There I’ve said it.😮

Well Jason I finally bought a bluray player about six weeks ago but not before purchasing a joblot of eight seasons in non-deluxe form (a good compromise and they look sturdier). I'm on the last disc of season 8 now with a lot of watching ahead of me. No doubt Ill be drawing my pension by the time I get to season 20... 😅

With 80s doctor who at 90 percent complete with only two seasons has left for 80s who those being Peter Davidson's final season and Sylvester McCoys second season. What season set do you want next.
