Amazing work. I'm doing a Mephrit army and Its very important to me, for some reason, to have all the glyphs glowing and so many people don't make them glow. I was thinking of doing this same orange glow but instead of warming to yellow for the highlight energy, I was going to use a magenta/pink neon, similar to a neon tube. I really wanted there to be a Red or yellow colored LED light inside that C'tan so he glows from inside! Can't wait to see your next project.
Thanks alot :D Yes I much prefer the orange glow, makes it look alot different, and contrasts well with the greenery. Watch this space! Im working on an Overgrown Monolith!
This is some OUTSTANDING WORK, you explain the steps very well, I'm on the verge of starting my Szarekh and this will help a lot! Thanks for the video and good work, mate!
Thanks a lot Igor! Glad you enjoyed the video. I'm working on a monolith at the moment so subscribe if you don't want to miss it :) What have you got in your army?
@@SlayerMiniatures I just finished an Illuminor Szeras, and this one being the hardest I've ever painted, it really came out good! I'm still building it, but I've got a few warriors and some immortals, just waiting for my Indomitus box to arrive (:
dude you are a wizard in painting. im am so gonna do my silent king and indomitus cron army like this. also gonna buy a airbrush to get that nice glowee effect
Yeah its such a cool narrative! They have grown dormant and still on a planet and have been grown over by plants and vegetation over many years. Then started waking up and rising from the earth and vegetation...
@@SlayerMiniatures yeah i know, I love that setting. ive purchased all the colors and basing stuff i need for them. only a airbrush set and i can begin
When il get my first necrons one day il make my oen dynasty called the terra dynasty. The color scheme would be rusty metals with moss/grassy parts ontop of the models
@SlayerMiniatures I love your work on these there outstanding - I wish to swap out the Flur Orange for Fluo Blue - what would you recomentd to use on top of the blue to replace the yellow?
@SlayerMinatures love this scheme. WOrking on this my self as a way to hide the fact its my 1st paint job in 20 years XD. Did you use a sealant at all?
I'm sure your paint job is fine! Practice makes perfect! I didnt use any sealant. But you could use a scenery glue sealant (mixture of pva, iso alcohol and Water) lots of guides on RUclips for making it
I know from your original tutorial for this color scheme you used something called tree canopy but it doesn’t say the brand is there any chance you remember what brand it is. Any brand recommendations will work too. : )
Hi Remy, Its from Geek Gaming. There is a link in the description to it. As an alternative Id recommend finding some cheap basing kits on ebay, you get a nice selection of materials for your money.
Hi there! Great and novel approach to the Silent King. Thank you for the off-the-beaten-path paint scheme. I am working on the objective marker set and would like to try and replicate the green that you have on the menhirs. What green did you use? Kindly advise if you can. Thank you again! Keep'em coming.
@@SlayerMiniatures outstanding, thank you kindly for the follow-up! thats why I wanted to ask because in the video we have sybarite green showing after incubi. hopefully Im not adding to the confusion but it was incubi + kabalite, right? My apologies for the back and forth.
@@SlayerMiniatures no harm done, sir! in fact, you're lighting the way for a not-so-shiny necron objective marker! much obliged! what's next on the bench for necrons for you?
@@tukenk I'm making an Overgrown Monolith with trees on it, and a repainted Necron Action Figure, so watch this space. Good luck with the objective marker :)
Bleegh you're right. It was in the video how did I not notice. You say 'silver' though, was that the same dull aluminium colour used earlier in the video, or was it like vallejo silver. Sorry to be extra but I really like how he looked as a baseline for my troops :)@@SlayerMiniatures
I haven't used it in any games yet, but handling it when moving it ...its fine I try and avoid grabbing it where the vegetation is. I plan to varnish all the models with a matte varnish when I have completed them. Which should hold anything that is loose.
Great ideas and videos so far looking forward for more maybe just work on your line delivery it's a bit flat so i feel sleepy watching grat looking miniatures XD
This is maybe the coolest model I've ever seen
Maybe! Thanks 😊
Awesome result!
Thanks dude!

Your custom oil paint is a beautiful finish! Do you mind if I ask what you make it out of?
Oil wash is just black oil paint and mineral spirit, that's it :)
hey! awesome scheme! How can I get the base color of the shields?
I show you in the video...
@SlayerMiniatures my english is so poor, i didnt found that. Sorry
beautiful
Thanks :)
How did you make your wash its perfect

infact moss prefer shade over direct sunlight. So would better have it in the shaded areas :)

Lovely paint job but God I hate the silent kings model he looks like an anemic warrior with a crown that looks stupidly oversized
Thanks 😊 and yeah he's very lanky and thin. Maybe they should have made him a bit stockier
