The most skillful french professor I had in my entire School curriculum died that night at the Bataclan attack. She loved to talk with us about video games and other cool topics in classroom. She was an adorable person that helped teaching french to non french speakers in her free time .
Sad to know that she will never teach again with passion, I'm glad to have been one of her students.

i just love how americans are blaming it all on open borders when they actually have no idea how europe works let alone our politics about immigration,LET ALONE that most attacks are carried out by people who where born there. this will only make americans more angry when in reality they don’t have a single clue about the issue that’s going on, but thanks netflix for the documentary lmao

At the end of the 3rd episode of that documentary, one of the hostages from Bataclan said that when he went to see the second concert of the eagles of death metal in Paris (months after the attack) he saw and old man (70-75 years old) in the crowd looking at first lost and confused. And later that old man was headbanging and singing, living the music. That old man was likely (the hostage said) the father to one of the people who died on the 13th of November 2015 at Bataclan, and he was probably trying to reconnect with his son, feeling the music same as his kid would have felt it. Man, that touched me.
Just to give you a glimpse of how tensed was Paris that night of the 13th of November 2015.
I was 1 kilometer away from Bataclan when it happened. Therefore in a safe spot. I was having dinner with my ex girlfriend in a Japanese restaurant. At some point I noticed that everyone in the restaurant were looking at their phones, looking sad, angry or shocked. Then my girlfriend and I looked at our phones too, guessing that someting bad happened, and we saw many messages from friends and family asking if we were hanging out in Paris, and informing us about the attacks.
We left the restaurant and tried to grab a cab, same as everyone else in Paris at that moment. We did not find any cab and therefore had to walk for 2 hours to go to my place. While we were walking we got more text messages from friends informing us about the latest rumors (that actually were fake, but nobody knew it was fake at that time), such as "be carreful they (the terrorists) are driving in Châtelet (we were closed by) and they are shooting people from their cars/scooters".
We saw many, MANY police cars, driving super fast.
We kept walking while looking behind our shoulders for 2 hours. The people that we saw on our way home all looked lost and confused. Some of them were speaking loud on their phones. Some or them were calm and walked, others were running.
Finally we arrived to my place, from where we watched the news for hours.
Such a shitty night that night. All these innocent people who died. It sucks. Many of them died protecting their friends or lovers, refusing to leave them behind. That is brave and powerful.

I was twelve, and I was already scared about terrorist attacks after Charlie Hebdo. I remember, i was in a call with a friend, we were laughing, joking about maybe stupid stuffs but we were just happy and innocent.
I was watching french team on my TV, a bit distracted, and then i heard gunshot and I knew something wrong was happening. I didn't know what exactly happened, but I started to be very stressed.
I was alone, my mom was working (she is a nurse), i cut off my phone and juste watched Tv again and again.
Maybe it's totally sutpid because no one in my family was killed, and I didn't even live in Paris. But I couldn't for several months be on a bus or a tram. Each time a person had just a sportbag in the streets i cried, afraid of being killed.
Two years later, I went to Paris and I don't know how many times I asked to my mum "You're sure we're totally safe?"
It's ridiculous but I think i'm totally relax with people since one or two years. I feel so bad comparate to other people who were on Bataclan or in the streets during this terrible night.
I'm sorry for my english. It's really hard for me to speak about it because I'm ashamed. I'm so sorry for all of vicitims, not only in Paris, in France but also in England, Belgium, Mali and others countries touched by terrorism.

The attack in Paris in November 2015, will forever be one of the bloodiest, most tragic pages of modern European history and I doubt I'll ever forget the raw feeling of panic and sorrow that day brought.
But, just for once, instead of thoughts and prayers how about America acknowledges that this is the result of a year long foreign policy based on their imperialistic tendencies in the Middle East. Lives are lost because of your leaders’ political games; innocent people are not your pawns. Military bases on foreign soil aren't ‘protecting’ America, they're bringing war and ruining lives. It's time Americans stopped turning a blind eye to this.

The U.S. is criticized when they act, and criticized when they don't. That's not fair in the slightest. Many EU leaders were begging America to get involved in middle eastern conflicts. In our nations short time on this world, we've saved countless nations from complete annihilation. How about the rest of the world stop expecting America to be flawless and to save everybody.

How exactly do American military bases in the Middle East compel Muslims *born in Europe* to murder Europeans? This is because of Islamic hate for the infidel, and always has been.

    • @KILLER171865
      @KILLER171865 6 лет назад +4

Oh please many of your EU leaders actively encourage the USA to constantly take action and get involved in the Middle East and you basically guilt us into taking action. When we don't act we get criticized. If we listen and do act, your leaders throw the USA under the bus and criticize. How is that fair? Also explain to me how US military bases compel Muslims born in Europe to carry out attacks? Also explain to me when exactly the USA forced Europe to adopt an open borders policy that lets thousands of people pour in unvetted and unchecked. Stop trying to pin this on the US.

People make posters and hold charities for victims of such attacks. I mean they're in a first world country attending a concert, I'm pretty sure they can feed themselves. People update their status as pray for the victims etc, even though the death toll of such attacks is nothing compared to the many terrorist attacks that keep happening everyday in middle East and Africa. People don't do such things to help the victims, they do it to please their conscience.

That was the first time I felt the horror of terrorism. I never in a million years think that it would happen this close to me. Still remember the hollow streets the follow week, and I had to comfort my students one by one at time, when myself was also shaking.

Terrorism has no religion. Never has, never will. No matter what claims are made, no matter which religion fights with the other...those who kill innocents have no humanity. I refuse to believe that they do it for the love of their God or religion. Not a single religion preaches terrorism. And regardless of their religion, a terrorist is nothing but a ticking bomb of hatred, encased in a human shell.. human, not humane. They may live and breathe like the rest of us, but they sacrificed their humanity for something so pitiable, deplorable...hatred is tearing the world apart. Even today, especially today, when it is so very important to unite with love, we humans fight and bicker and point fingers at one another..... when the world learns to love one another without caste, creed, religion and sex, only then will we be saved....
