I'm 70 years young. Been skiing 65. Watching Candide gets me out of bed before sunrise to get after it the best I can. He is a truly remarkable skier. I love the younger generations and where they have taken skiing. Wow !
I entered a dreamlike state watching this. The variety of lines he crushes demonstrates his natural abilities and fearless imagination are incredible. I’m talking about the snow shots. The other stuff is entertaining and all but damn those lines required so many skills. I’m sure Candide has had his share of fall and get back up experiences and just powers back every time sending it. Keep it up brother!

This is the guy who broke his back???... I don't think I've ever seen such a display of raw strength of torso and legs as his recovery from being nearly flat on his back after a big jump at 6:18. I'd like to know just how high he sets the tension on his bindings??!! There are a lot of great skiers out there. But there is something unique about Candide Thovex. Speed, strength, reflexes, daring, and...fun! Speaking of reflexes, how about pulling out of what would have been a crash with an impromptu front flip, then deftly avoiding a rock at full speed at 5:15?? Like one freestyle competitor observed, Candide handles the mountain in a whole new way. Oh yes, and not only outrunning avalanches, but cutting across one at 5:43?? God has given this man an extraordinary ability. Really, it's a testimony to the Creator!

There’s one shot where he’s skiing in between two symmetrical avalanches and they are spraying up around him...I can’t really describe it with words, so just go watch it.

Later the freestylers and snowboarders plus the greatest Olympians soccer players and cyclists. Thought i' d seen it all until I watched a short u tube video of Candide Thovex. Greatest sportsman ever. You bet ! C'est magnificent! Flows down a mountain like a stream, never experienced anything like this perhaps only in a dream.
