Probably because you can get to the Underwater dungeon at any point in the game, but the End Cities are end game and you need to beat a boss to even access them.
jjfwtz14 The dragon is easy to beat with proper gear. And there are so many islands with OP gear in the endworld
Electrones The end city loot is not OP. You occasionally get some half ass enchanted diamond gear. By the time you go to the end, you should already have top tier diamond gear. The best gesr I've seen has been stuff like efficiency 3, unbreaking pickaxes. Not that crazy if you ask me.

Josh Evans Excuse me, but a) how is he a "swine of the Pokemon community", and b) he can watch and comment on whatever he wants. The only person who can stop him commenting on Etho videos is Etho, and afaik, Verlis hasn't done anything ban worthy. And yes, I am aware of the controversy regarding Verlisify and Smogon that's been going on for lord knows how long.

They were infinite before Etho XD
Soul sand is not renewable and even now beacons aren't renewable or infinitely produceable because of the finite world

Both sand and soulsand are infinite because they are gathered from the infinitely generated world of Minecraft.

Really? You have to place a creeper face made out of clay for another ender dragon to spawn? I can't tell if Etho is pulling our legs with editing magic, or if it's just a coincidence Mojang made.
(For anybody who doesn't know, a creeper face is the first thing Etho made in his man-cave. There was also "The Clay", which, back in Etho's first world, was clay right next to his base that he refused to mine despite all our constant pleas for him to :P)
It's currently a debug feature for the developers to be able to change and test the dragon. In the full release it probably will not work.
Nope it works. Watch my video. You can see that you can just do a 6 by 6 square.

Etho, keep crouch on Shift and move sprint to Q (move drop to backspace)
Etho things you missed:
Placing one glass pain with no blocks around it make it look like the rod of light same with iron bars. (now it's invisible when you want to change beacon color).
Breaking dead bushes gives you sticks.
Trap doors now are floating blocks meaning you can push them with a piston and have them not touch blocks.
Endermen with blocks in their hand now drop it if they die.
Chest in your hand are now tilted to tell them apart from trapped ones.

the dragon is obviously not supose to stop when it sprays fire. i assume it will be flying over spraying fire on the ground beneath.

So cool! I haven't got to the End in my vanilla world yet, so probably when the snapshots get more stable I could have a new-school dragon fight. The double wielding and the new arrows seems very cool too.

So if you go duel wield with 2 pick axes with the looting enchantment what happens when you struck diamond ore at the same time

Only one will hit. Afaik you can only hit with one tool at once.
Donavon Hawn Well you see the dual weilding works if the item you have in your main hand does not have a right click feature so if you do something like a torch and a pickaxe put torch in your off hand and when you right click you can place torches since if the pickaxe does not have a right click it goes to see if the torch of a right click thing then it see that it does so it uses it

I used TAB as run key and used tilde key for show players.
I prefer CTRL to show players, but I agree with Tab Sprinting.

alex xela I guess it all has to do with personal preference and maby the size of the users hands. Still a good recommendation though. Not to many people understand that we can change keys to make playing easier.
Repleh The reasoning behind me using tilde for show players is for pvp reasons for fast acting on whose on ect. Ctrl is still a good recommendation though!

Etho, you can apply spectral to endermen because it's like fire. It applies but they don't get hit.
Etho, I'm pretty sure that the arrow that hit that enderman was stuck in a block, and got dislodged by the Ender Dragon.
Doc said in his vid that the spectral arrows detect before it hits the mob instead of after an that's why
you can shoot endermen with spectral arrows but they do no damage, they only highlight them.

Yay! Another Minecraft LP!
Etho's dragon fight was really easy because he didn't have to destroy the pillars - some of the crystals are encased in iron bars now, making them hard to reach. Also, when the dragon does its breath attack it is guarding the end portal (which is pregenerated). Etho didn't see it because his portal had already spawned somewhere else (from his first dragon fight).

Great episode to swap your sprint and crouch.
Something I found that I haven't seen any mention of are the new options for world gen. There is now an option for a custom world type where you can tweak almost everything.
Also, I just noticed that after being AFK for a while the game menu popped up. Still need to confirm but if there is now an inactivity time out it could make some farms a lot more work.
Hey Etho when you finally decide to, if you do, show your face on camera you should find your most popular series or least popular and randomly put in a face cam and don't mention it the whole video. Just a suggestion and I won't be disappointed and again keep up the great work

The end occurs when Etho removes the fishing shack torches.
Also a trick for the controls... I mapped crouch to shift and sprint to tab, then remapped "list players" to control (I don't need it that often) this works for me and it might help you etho.

You can also go to a new part of the end where there is dungeons and flying pirate ships with new mobs. They are hostile though
Put ended pearls in the off hand and a pick in the main hand so you can travel around more easily
it spawns a new one of those things that teleports you from the dragon island to the chorus island every time you defeat the dragon, so once you loot all the ender towns near one of the portals, you can get a new one

Finally, I've been missing great loot in this game. Time consuming things like enchanted gear is just perfect.

the effect of the spectral arrow applies before it hits its target, thats why you can hit enderman
I actually really love the longer episodes Etho :) also I saw some of Xumavoid's videos where he does like a time warp or whatever. Like where it shows him building but does up a lot. You could maybe do some of those?? I'd like that :)

Etho, I was having trouble using CTRL as run but I changed it to R and it helped me do much hopes this helps you also. Loving your videos keep it up.

You don't need to put ice under the stairs for the item transportation system. Just align the items to the lower portion and let them bounce and they will go fast.
The chorus flowers works in the overworld but you plant them in endstone, just like cactus you can only put on sand :)

Etho, you can hit the levitation projectiles and they die, also, the mobs that shoot those take more damage when open.

Etho, if you wanna try it, I have my sprint key set to "r". you can keep shift as sneak and it's right there by "w" and "e". It works great for me
