Featuring the voices of the traditional Kōauau (bone flute) and Ponga Ihu (nose flute) Kōkōrangi celebrates the art of traditional pacific voyaging. The word kōkōrangi translates to astronomer and the lyrics of this song talk about how our ancestors and current voyagers sailed across vast oceans using the star systems and natural elements to guide them. The music itself expresses a minimal driving sound with rolling bass lines and soulful vocals which take the listener on an emotive journey. Sound design techniques are used to sample the Ponga Ihu and manipulate the sound to achieve a contemporary musical effect.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From Aotearoa New Zealand, IA create indigenous soul music. Their compositions blend old with new and feature the voices found with traditional Māori instruments/taonga puoro. The puoro voices are blended with modern instruments, ancient poetic writing style and modern soulful melodies. IA has been discovering new frontiers with traditional Maori instruments by using taonga puoro as the driving force in their creative process. Featuring Moetu Smith, Reti Hedley and Turoa Pohatu, the Waikato based band is dedicated to showcasing taonga puoro and Te Reo Maori in their music.

Kia Ora! my name is Rudy. I live in Sacramento, California USA. I really love this song. I composed my rendition of your song. Loving the vibe it makes me feel. Like i am onward journey toward and enlightening, soulful vortex. That fulfills me with an essence of dignity and deeper understanding of the self....Wanted to know if I may do a cover for my upcoming new album...Which features 40+ songs. I can relate to your vibe. My family descends from the Philippines....
