    Bless the fish and all that gives itself that we may eat, for we are blessed. I hope taking too much doesn't empty the sea and disturb the balance, cutting our own throats in the process.

    If you get a 24" Halibut off the coast of California, you need to do the following:
    1. Call in Professional Photographers
    2. Hold a press conference involving BBC, CNN, FOX News and a bunch of other Journalists
    3. Of course the museum of natural history would send an official to come document the astounding catch
    4. Remember to smile for the camera as hot girls fling themselves at you.
    Enjoy, you lucky bastard!

    The fish is very resistant, the fish wants to live. And there are happy smiles on your faces. And if they would eat your dog or cat like that with an iron hook, would you be happy too?
    Рыбка очень сопротивляется, рыбка хочет жить. А на ваших лицах счастливые улыбки. А ели бы вашу собаку или кошечку так железным крюаом тащили, вы бы тоже радовались?

    Kind of sad watching that huge female get all cut up . The big females are the ones that produce the most offspring for future generations...but not that one. I'm all for catching halibut , but the huge females should be protected after a certain size. Every Halibut fisherman knows it's the little "chickens " , small ones , that are the best eating. Catching a " barn door " just makes for fewer Halibut in the future . And posing with a huge Halibut , in a photo , shows the person was ignorant on what he or she just killed.

    • @vizzini2510
      @vizzini2510 3 года назад

      Or....you could pay for your own trip to Alaska. I arranged a trip for a bunch of friends this coming August. With two days on a multi-species charter and three days salmon fishing on our own, the all in cost is about $2,500 per person. I fully expect to bring home at least 100 pounds of fish per person, which is worth about as much as the cost of the trip. If you are willing to go low budget, like staying in a tent or RV, you could easily show a net profit from a trip to Alaska. I don't usually try to rationalize the cost of a vacation, but sometimes it helps to get the wife's approval:)
