I’m so sad to hear that he just passed away. I bought tickets to Lightbox and was so excited to see him, he played a major role in my art journey. Rest In Peace Kim Jung Gi.
And there I was in Łódź in Poland seeing him draw live for the first time. Had 3 of his books signed and wached him sign many more. A true inspiration. RIP... :(
RIP Kim Jung Gi, I was lucky enough to see him back in 2019. Got a signed sketch in my omphalos book. Also I hope that omphalos 2 is still happening :(
As soon as I heard the news of his passing I went and bought this book The only other one I own is Omphalos and it was amazing. Thank you for this amazing review and I am excited to get it T_T still heartbroken by the news...
@@arcticships perfect way to put it, he really was. I hope they won't stop reprinting his books and bringing out the ones they planned to. The world needs to see his work as much as possible 🥺😞😭
A week later and I still cannot comprehend that he's actually gone. I hope the world treasures this man's work cause we'll never see his like again in our lifetimes
Deeply saddened loosing Kim Jung Gi. He is such an inspiration and has been for many years. I own all of his sketchbook but find it even more sad that I have just purchased what I assume will be his last sketchbook (this 2022 one). RIP, sir. I'm know you're still drawing wherever you are, and now you have a whole new perspective.
@@mellowbeatz93 I really like his 2016 sketchbook. Omphalos is explicit and grotsque but its awesome. Get them asap. He just passed they may be experiencing a boost in sales and hard to obtain a copy
Sketch isn't a derogatory word. It's just a form of art. These are indeed Kim Jung Gi's sketches but the man is so skilled even his sketches look good compared other's sketches

Who exactly do you mean?
Such fantastic talent; so, so sad to hear he died so horribly young.
Question sir, did they ever release a softcover version that is divided into two volumes? I can not find any information on it.
I don't know anything about such a publication, so it is unlikely.
RIP LEGEND!
