Yes it can be used for lats depending on how you hold the dumbell but Arnold used it as a finisher for his chest workout coz one of the purpose of this is to expand the ribcage that's why Arnold chest is different from the other,even Ronnie Coleman admire to Arnold chest.💪

I used to hit the gym alot when i was younger. I find i get the same pump by doing 5 super sets of 20-30 pushups and right away 10-15 pull ups, then go to lats. 5 sets of these with 15-20 secs rest in between. Try that and tell me its not the same result but 3 times faster

Great question! Seeing that he did 20 sets, all of the body builders I have listened to on RUclips would say 1 day/week I’m 56, so I do at least 15 sets per week. In my 20’s I would do this 2x/week. I’ve gotten smarter. Looking back I realize 2 days of this severely stunted my results. But back in the 70’s and 80’s this was just the way everyone did it. I would be shocked if Arnold did this workout only once a week. I’d be willing to bet anything he did it twice. Many people (myself included) wonder what Arnold would have looked like if he didn’t over train like he did.
Thats Joe weider's program for chest and its my routine since a while..4 sets of 10 to 12 reps are enough to build a good looking chest (my experience)
That's crazy amount of volume. You don't need all that. Try the 1 set to failure H.I.T. routine see Jay Vincent on RUclips. I've worked out for 45 years and haven't grown much until I started this routine. You should maybe give it a try.
The problem then is do you do shoulders and be weak af after all that pressing after a day or 2, or so you wait 3-4 days for shoulder when you could be benching again and sacrifice the extra mass?

Steroids will generate results. Natural muscle growth is painfully slow. At max your are gaining 10lbs a year.
