His name is Michael Brandon , his character was called James (JIM) Dempsey in the British show Dempsey and Makepeace back in the 80s . He's from Brooklyn NY but lives in England for the last 40 years or so . He's married to Glynis Barber who played Makepeace they've been married for 33 years . He was once married to Lyndsay Wagner from The Bionic Woman back in the 70s for 3 years .

He also played Springer in the original West End cast of Jerry Springer: The Opera. I saw him in the role and he was excellent.
I had such a crush on Makepeace growing up! Actually of all the re-makes NOT happening Dempsey and Makepeace would be a good one. They sort of did it with Hooten and the Lady, But a full reboot could be great.
He's also in Captain America.

I remember the lip thing happening to a British actress 20 years ago. When she had silicone lip fillers that went wrong, and was left with a "trout pout".
If it's the same one I'm thinking of (clue: "Men Behaving Badly") she was perfectly lovely to begin with. Such a shame she chose to have the lip treatment - it's hardly ever necessary, imho, and rarely looks good.
