In this one we are taking a look at a mod called From the Fog. It is a mod / resource pack that adds Herobrine into minecraft! And for whatever reson i decided to try it out in VR as its not scary enough having a horror moster chase you around in VR! So join me as we play through 10 full days of Minecraft VR to see if this mod turns minecraft into the ultimate horror game!
This is the first time ive done a lets play 100 days survived type of video so please let me know if you like it! And if you have any issues with it let me know in the comments so i can improve it for next time!

Yeah that's the only thing I don't like about this mod. He jump scares you and can change the terrain but that's it. He's pretty much just a massive troll 🤣. Not sure how you make him a threat though without making him too annoying? 🤔
What are the shaders and things u used

@Ryan Clifford There's another 1.19 Herobrine mod you can install alongside it called "End of Herobrine" that adds more encounters with him that are more, y'know, deadly. It also adds infected mobs with white eyes that can occassionally spawn and try to kill you.
@@RyanClifford i mean, is in line with what made the original creepypasta rather creepy, how the first "witness" were, everything just seems what, but you know that you are not alone
@@RyanClifford If you think about it, maybe the source of the original hero brine wiki thing was likely a troll so it would make sense for this new mob to be a troll, though I would have preferred a threat to keep the player on edge during the game to make sure they can not let their guard down or run away from it like every other dangerous thing in minecraft
@@RyanClifford there is an option you can enable where he can crash your game and burn down your base, i would reccomend turning that on

Is it entertaining seeing him getting jumpscared
Horror minecraft vr is unironically more scary than actual horror vr games because you feel a sense of dread because your main objective isn’t escaping the monster, it’s just surviving and supposed to be having “wholesome fun” but it’s nerve racking knowing there is something watching you in a empty world where nothing too scary is SUPPOSED to be there and it’s not a horror game at all yet there is…

honestly, yea it sounds like it. i sometimes wonder what it would be like just trying to survive a situation where your only objective is *survive.*
The "From The Fog" mod has a 3-day grace period at the start of a world, allowing you to calm yourself before the big scares, that's why you didn't see him until after the 3rd day.
The grace period can be changed in the config
Ahhh that explains it! I kinda like that it confuses you a bit and makes that first scare that much better 🤣 thank you for explaining
@@RyanClifford It's not an issue! The config also has an option for Immersive Layers, for those who use dynamic lighting, so Herobrine can stop glowing in darkness :)

i think both a in the fog playthrough and a modded without it playthrough at the same time might be good
There's only one from the fog lets play on RUclips and it's by The Librarian. There's 2 uploads a week and it is bloody fantastic.
he has some modpacks available on curseforge, probably including the one he used for this video

I have an idea, maybe try testing some other mods with your current VR mod setup? Some Minecraft mods like Farmers Delight would be a huge immersion boost in vr, even if you have to use menus. Some other creature or structure mods (like Alex’s Mobs, and the mods by Young’s Better series of mods) would probably be cool in vr, the only reason I haven’t tested it is because I have a hard time running vanilla Minecraft despite being able to run Green Hell vr (I wish that was a joke).

This is super fun, my favorite part of these videos are the green-screened parts. Having voice-overs with that more would be really cool.
Add a fog shader to your game and it’ll make a perfect combo with the herobrine mode

That was one of THE most entertaining things I have watched in ages, And for someone who grew up... Ish (I'm thirteen) in the golden age of herobrine so these sorts of videos are (as much of nostalga you can get when you are thirteen) very nostalgic and I for one, Love it please make more.

fun fact: on my ps3 long ago in the TU12 world i made one of those herobrine shrine/spawner with the gold and netherack lit it up turned off the fire, every time i looped it a zombie kept spawning in my house.
One day i decided to hunt him down in creative so i made the shrine i saw him out of the corner of my eye in the jungle next to the castle

Did this great. Did kinda feel like we were waiting at certain parts for something to happen. Might have been the weird bipolar moments, but it by no means that the video was bad. Just made it diffrent, I like it either way. Especially the emotion you put out made it nicer than most. Especially that you used more in-game commentary than post recording

Later on into the video I figured out who you remind me of, it gave me a sense of nostalgia and I felt what I've been reminded of was older dantdm videos. Somehow a video like this made me feel so comfortable and warm now.

Did the same thing. Was scared for a few minutes but when he appeared I realized that if your crosshair so if you don't point your arm at him he'll just stand there.

the stuff of nightmares!
Herobrine's presence in your world is so strong that it will even effect your other worlds... nothing is safe
what i mean by this is the spooky screen when you join a world with from the fog also shows up in your other worlds, at least the data pack version
The fact I can tell that in vids like this there is the person that is experiencing it and says it at the real time and another person which in reality is the same guy narrating what he experienced to make a vid
