Oshay is discussing collective success and the other guy is discussing individual success. The other guy doesn't realize that a Nigerian politician in the UK is still serving at the behest of the ruling class and for the said ruling class interests.
@@niamdickerson110 Did anyone say mix people should separate from their white parent ? It should be UNDERSTOOD there will be things such people cannot related to regarding Many Black issues , culture or shouldnot be expected to be a part of.
Great show! I do have a little pushback on the guest though. Inclusivity never works☝🏾there isn’t any successful group(ethnicity/race) that has a working inclusivity policy. Inclusivity is dangerous for Black people globally. We(Black/African)people have to be more exclusive. We tend to be the most inclusive race,to our own detriment. I don’t blame Indians,Chinese,Arabs,Whites for being exclusive,it’s “self preservation”. Only a fool invites everyone to the dinner table, this is precisely why “memberships” are a thing. I am very discriminatory in who I decide to work with(business)as well as intermarry with, even who I hang out with. Not everyone has access to me and that’s how we’re supposed to move in this world, not to mention it raises our value. We have enough skills, knowledge and resources to work amongst ourselves for the advancement of our race…EVERYBODY ELSE DOES!!! In other words, don’t be so “cheap”=(accessible)! @7:07, I agree although if I may add. I don’t see Kagame as a dictator,Rwanda had a fair election and Rwandese overwhelmingly support him. I have familial ties to Rwanda and the day of the election almost 100% of the Rwandese people voted. He has brought stability and progress to the country,so whatever he’s doing is working. He could stay in office for 1,000 years for all I care,so long as he’s serving the people of Rwanda and he is. ‘94 was not Rwanda’s first Tutsi genocide☝🏾it was the third, the first happened in the 1950’s,so Kagame has every right to ensure that nothing of the sort happens again. In Rwanda, you can actually call the police and file a complaint without having to be bribed by them.
its hard for him to accept it, because he would be in a way disparaging his own history. He is the result of IR. Oshay's observation is true. It cannot be denied. We see the world for what it is. We can imagine a different world, but we will face the consequences of the world we live in.
This is a very interesting convo, but I do feel that even with all the issues between black people in the diaspora, he is right. Every other culture guards their culture. They make sure it is not taken, they intermingle but not at the detriment of their communities and value. It’s a balance that can not happen because of tribalism. We don’t understand/respect each other as black people. Which I feel filters into low self esteem that was being talked about. We must find a way to build our own pockets of community, then come together. And it may seem limiting or overwhelming tribal to say that we need to maintain only our communities but it’s the truthhhhh!!!
Strange how the guest believes that Black Nations/ Tribes wouldn’t be able to work together. Hell the whyte nations were able to put their differences aside at the Berlin Conference and colonize Africa
Fantastic conversation, in terms of what is happening in UG with other groups they are doing well in UG because they are allowed to do well by the UG administration, in terms of if they would marry Jo, then there would have to be open market competition, can Jo compete with her counterparts apples for apples, in terms of behaviour, in terms of following the religion of the man, culture etc I believe we are as good or even better than any other group but we must prove it , where it can’t be denied, and once we have proved it on all areas as a group , then it will not be can they marry Jo , they will be pleading to marry Jo as long as Jo can compete apples for apples that’s how I see it . The problem with our ultra conservative brothers is in the relationship parts , it’s too much simping, the medicine required here is total avoidance in other to reset their behaviour and the men are doing that already
I agree more with Oshay, no disrespect to the guy in the middle, but what I've seen from most biracial people they never want to exclude is there a white side.. I'm saying he is compromised
Much of what was said here is true but most of us seem to forget that Africa is far behind other developed countries and sadly that is by design. With regards to western nations investing in African countries I don't foresee that EVER happening why; because throughout the centuries these nations have conspired to keep Africa at the bottom of the development heap. After all, if Africa rises the others whose countries that are thriving off of African resources will fall. Additionally, Europeans have shown the world that their life's goal is to dominate and/or rule the globe. This is noted by the fact that all others who come to Africa and build thriving businesses yet they don't pay the natives a proper living wage. I believe that if others had even minimal good intentions they would at the very least pay and treat the indigenous people fairly. I was even told during my stay in Kenya that African working at grocery stores and/or hotels cannot even afford to shop or stay at the places they work. Furthermore, imagine the tedious task of uniting Africans fighting the stigmas of tribalism, including western education and religions which was forcefully thrust upon the continent. Therefore there will be a long and arduous journey for Africans to bridge the division gap. Last but not least, the other countries such as Singapore and China had nationalism on their side and sadly this is something that Africans may never have in this lifetime.
Yeah don't get involved. Let them deal with their own problems. If you come at them with any Pan Africanism, they'll act as the bulletproof vest if you offend Blanco 👨🏻🦰.

Thank you for this fascinating program. I can see some direct parallels between the issues that were discussed and the path of Ukraine, beginning with the past several centuries of oppression and exploitation by more (militarily) powerful neighboring nations, and extending to the present, where when the neighbors leadership decided that Ukrainans were getting a bit too "uppity" (i.e., when the people of the Ukraine started "unburdening the past" by embarking upon a path towards partnership with European nations), the neighbor's imperialistic rulers began hysterically catastrophizing. Then one fine day, without provocation, they initiated a savage, genocidal, senseless military invasion. The challenge of eliminating corruption through strengthening the rule of law is a process being persued by the government, even in this time of war (being pressured in this direction by both the Ukrainian electorate and by Western partners who are providing an essential lifeline of military supplies, training, and humanitarian assistance. As for the debate about a focus on future development primarily in rhe context of an insular group versus incorporating strategic alliances and mutually beneficial trade arrangements with other partners, is also a struggle that Ukraine will face once the war has been won. Generally speaking, Ukrainians have always been willing to work with other groups but at times have been too naive with respect to negotiating a fair deal (and losing out as a result). On the other hand, there is a developing tendency towards insularity with respect to spoken language; Ukrainians have generally been pragmatic about learning Russian as a second (or even first) language, whereas the imperialist oppressor has systematically denigrated the use of Ukrainian (in those times when they occupied and ruled over Ukraine), creating something like a historic national PTSD and/or inferiority complex. Russian speaking Ukrainians will always be accepted by society (because that's how Ukrainians roll) but I expect there to be increased pressure to primarily speak Ukrainian in public venues, and it wouldn't surprise me if in the future many schools stop teaching Russian, in favor of English as the national second language.
