- Joel Klatt broke down why Michigan Wolverines J.J. McCarthy has elite passing ability even though Michigan did not showcase it much throughout the season. Then, he analyzed why Oregon Ducks QB Bo Nix is just outside of this list and explained why Nix is a great player on the field and helped make big plays.

Hundreds of guys have shows like this, but this communicates to me the best. I don't want too much jargon or over-analysis, but I like to know schemes and how the QB is thinking.

Broncos got Bo AND Franklin. Bo also gonna have his C from college snapping to him in Denver. He is set up for success
Dont understand the hate for Bo? Watching him the last 2 years, he looks extremely efficient and on time, I would have put him 2 or 3 on my board, smart, decisive, athletic when needed, accurate and efficient, stays healthy, solid body, good leader!
Klatt nails it again
Questions about JJ has to be timing and can he handle being hit. I personally think he is tough because he plays hockey, but a lot of pulls at Mich would end his career in the NFL. He's gotten better every year. I think he should've played 1 more year @Mich.
A positive on JJ McCarthy, he is the best QB among the top prospects at taking the snap under center and his footwork is excellent. That may not sound like a big deal, but it is huge. That said, I just don’t have a feel for him as an NFL QB. Whoever the Vikings end up with will be well positioned.
Bo nix landed in the best place possible he’s gonna do better than all of these guys that went ahead of him
Crazy how accurate all of this turned out to be. My gut tells me McCarthy and Nix will be the most successful of all these QB's, simply because they'll be playing with the same coach in the same system for years. And because both are the most NFL-ready right now.

Joel, I would think another positive comment for JJ because he was not asked to throw a lot, those 3rd down throws (with top tier completion percentage) occurred with a "cold" arm.

@ShaneRodrigues-jd9pd he just gave another positive for JJ. Why would someone give an excuse on why he was so accurate on 3rd down?

I have those two dudes higher than the other QBs.
I think he should based on team needs (and his winning in HS and college. )
Not caring about stats just focusing on winning is a rare thing.
Winning is an overrated metric for HS and college kids. 99% of the people playing football at those levels don't go pro. Having a good handful of players makes all the difference in the world.
I'm not saying that's a knock on JJ, because I think his talent is there, too, but just because dudes "win" doesn't make them good NFL prospects in the game of football. We've seen a TON of winners end up being bad/mediocre QB's once they make it to the NFL and the playing field is massively equalized.

Outside of Caleb I got The Drake as the best prospect. I wouldn’t have Bo or Penix Jr on my board period.
