Lighting... so important... but bot as easy to find the perfect settings. Still working on that!
I struggle with shooting in direct sunlight and mostly use the ND filter over my lens. like your tip on framing the shot and using shading areas. Questions What is NDN? What are you using to light the background you're using in this video..it looks good?

Hi Job, I've been following you for awhile and have watched a lot of your tutorials on the m50, but I seem to be struggling with this one thing. I find that when I'm using the 15-45mm kit lens or the 11-22mm in 1080, that my skin is way too sharp and detailed. I use the same picture style and settings as you, but for some reason you can see everything in my skin. My pores and everything. I've tried to blur it in premiere, but it still doesn't do any good. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks!
On what shutterspeed are you shooting and on how many frames, plus how close are you to the lense? Do you have any videos as examples we can see. I for instance do not have that problem. I only use the Kit-Lense and daytime in exterierors I always use ND filters. Admittedly not very good ones. But still they do take away some of the sharpness.

This is my follow up to the prev comment regarding M50 mark ii specs.....seems like the latest news from canonrumors suggest that M50 mark ii will not have the canon 90d sensor afterall. Seems it will be just a minor upgrade....with just some autofocus improvements and a better evf. Dissappointed.

why does a gopro need no special anything and i can shoot anyway i want minus direct sunlight behind me hitting the lens? even with direct sunlight behind me, my face still looks good while yes you get some sun spots but its not bad. the auto ISO gopro vs the M50 is night and day. sun is not a factor on the gopro while the m50 is a complete whiteout in sunlight. i just dont get it.

Makes video of how to "get better video in direct sunlight" and doesn't show or talk about settings used. Seems like all you talk about lately is STORY trying to talk like a filmmaker, but story covers all the content from the title. bleh
The reason I don’t put it in the video is that that your settings change for your environment. It is important to know how the settings effect your footage because it depends on where and what you’re shooting. This video was not on how to adjust your settings, I have videos on that, but this one is about how to frame your shots to get good quality of light when the sun is harsh.

Lol. Yeah it is a speech impediment I have had all my life that prevents my from properly making the R sound. It used to be a lot worse actually.
