I have been researching the m50 for weeks now. Purchased yesterday for a whole host of reasons. Then found you.....you are brilliant. Thank you. I'm even more excited now to get out and make stuff. Again, thank you.

Another great video on the M50. I just started getting confident enough to also start making videos on the M50 on my channel. I owe a lot of that confidence to you and the great tutorials you have made on the M50. Thank you.
This was a super informative video on the m50! I just picked it up and came from a Canon t5..I appreciate the effort, work and knowledge you put into this! Thank you!!
Great vid here. So much useful information. I do (somewhat) disagree with one setting. I’ve been using auto sound with the attenuator turned on. In a run and gun situation (at least what I’ve noticed) it works very very well. As long as your speaking with conviction (talking normally or even whispering, just don’t mumble), the sound gets picked up very well and when not talking it’s pretty much silent. I use an Edutige ETM-001 to kind of capture sound all around me (for my hiking videos). I’ve implemented that setting method with that mic on both the M50 and EOS R with great success. Keep up the great work. You’ve helped me and so many others with your videos. Greatly appreciated.

Dude, love your channel. New sub from the UK having just picked up the M50, and now i have AAAAALLLLL your vids to go through. Top work. p.s what accent is that ?
I almost returned my M50 because of that stupid tiny record button until I found that setting to use the regular big button. Great video. I need to do the manual audio settings. Never thought of that one but I'm gonna set it. Thx.
Hey man lovely video as always. But at 9:45 i got confused. Shoot in 24fps so you can slow your footage down? I know i shoot in 60fps and slow it down to 40% speed so my final product is 24fps. But i cant slow down if i shoot in 24fps.
That is what I meant final product at 24 FPS instead of 30 so you can slow down your slow motion more. I had prefaced it briefly that I was talking about live motion shots.
remember, that downsizing from 60 to 30 fits evenly. or 120 to 60 or 30 but 30 or 60 --> 24 means part of the frame is disposed which can add a jump in the frame each time this happens. Research it and also intraframe codecs aka ALL-I like on the GH5.
Excellent overview! I still need to get used to using manual mode settings for shutter speed, etc. For the style of videos I've been doing, having too much motion blur is more noticeable than I'd like. Looking forward to the histogram video.

I have thought of doing that, but I use a mobile hotspot on my phone for uploads and the 4x file size would take a ton of data.
How do i increase the size to export in 4k? I record in 1080 also but quality never looks that great when uploaded to yt!

Dude, love your channel. New sub from the UK having just picked up the M50, and now i have AAAAALLLLL your vids to go through. Top work. p.s what accent is that ?
Thank you. It is actually just due to the inability to pronounce the letter R like most Americans can. I am born and raised in America.
I almost returned my M50 because of that stupid tiny record button until I found that setting to use the regular big button. Great video. I need to do the manual audio settings. Never thought of that one but I'm gonna set it. Thx.
wow where is that setting to change this. i hate the tiny record button
Great vídeo. I learn a lot!
Thank you!
Thanks man, I'm going to go and change my settings on my M50 straight away. Thanks again. 👍🏻
Thank you! Hope it helps!
Excellent overview! I still need to get used to using manual mode settings for shutter speed, etc. For the style of videos I've been doing, having too much motion blur is more noticeable than I'd like. Looking forward to the histogram video.
Thanks! I really need to make that one!
Thanks for your video. BTW, how to switch profile between Video and Photo? Can I have neutral profile for video and Portrait profile for photo?
I don’t think you can set different settings.
