It is definitely one of the best bargains for under $18K. Many will now think about switching to EVs because they are cheaper to buy than ICE & much cheaper to run. Over the next 3 to 4 years, many will be buying up 2nd hand models for $10k or less. This also highlights that legacy manufacturers have been making 12- 20% profit margins on their cars. How did Volkswagon find £100 billion to invest in Xpeng!? I expect China will be making their own processors very soon. The competition is heating up now. Teslas reign may be coming to end in China, primarily because the Chinese can build better. The only barrier for China & potential customers across the world is Western Govt cartels, eg, protectionism, who subjugate the concept of fair trade & free markets. Trade wars with China don't work.
Can only agree with all you said. Even without subsidies, which are a way to stimulate an industry and not exclusively used by China, you could charge twice as much for these cars and in many cases they'd still be cheaper and far better equipped than their European counterparts. Looking at the Li Auto L6 in China compared to a Mercedes-Benz GLE as an example. The comparison isn't even close and the Li is about 40% of the price.
As a wheel chair owner - my young son uses one - I’m really intrigued by this car.. the luggage department has the same size as my xc60 which is insane! Almost no cars expect for big suvs and model s/x can take the wheel chair without dismantle it totally. 😅

You're too kind. The ADAS for MONA is currently limited to only highway stuff, so ACC, LKA, etc, so as such it's a bit limited compared to some others that do urban autonomous driving too, but it's based on a good system already so at least should be pretty good at what it's capable of.

Ah, that's the driver awareness sensor. I believe most cars are actually obligated to have these now in some markets, certainly more and more cars have them.
