Hello my name is Pat and my channel is Richerinyears. I am 74 years of age, 5'3" and a dress size 10-12. I love sharing with you my love of fashion, my style and Beauty tips. I hope you enjoy watching my videos and hope they give you lots of ideas and inspiration.

I’m glad M&S are doing longer lengths it gives us taller ladies choice ..petite ladies can alter the length on a dress tall ladies can’t add material …
I wish M&S wouldn’t make their dresses so long. Not keen on the puff sleeves but they all look good on you.
If they are too long then take them up …taller ladies have no where to shop now how many tall departments do you see when shopping ?

I especially like the green dress with pockets! They all look lovely on you, even the last one - it’s definitely not too young for you. I remember when Marks and Spencers had stores here in Canada, I loved shopping there. Then they closed everything except for the food (always loved the biscuits and chips), then sadly that too. 😢

Hi Pat, I do most of my shopping here at Simons, a Canadian store. They have clothes mostly for the younger crowd, as well as a nice stylish section for more mature women. I also have the added problem of being only 5 feet tall, and having to have everything hemmed. I’m always on the lookout for stores that carry petite clothing, but they too are getting more scarce. I do love fashion, and spring always makes me want to get some new items. I do my shopping vicariously through you. Keep ‘em coming! Susan

Hi, I just found your channel today! I loved the dresses. When you said you are 74 I could not believe it. You do not look 74! You are beautiful and don't look a day over 60. The last dress you had on was not too young for you. You looked great in it! I really enjoyed this video. I'm 64 and it is so hard to find dresses that don't look like some thing a teenager would wear. I'm going to check out Marks & Spencer.

You look absolutely beautiful in all of those dresses. I'm only 5ft 4 and the long dresses just don't suit me they tend to swamp me and make me look bigger than I am. Wish they would do these dresses
Hi I’m only 5’3” so they fit ok the really long one was the last dress which was a maxi. I wore them with a wedge sandal so it raised me up a bit. You should definitely try them to see. Hope this helps. Pat ❤
you look lovely. these are the sort of dresses i love. my fave is the green one as well. i'de buy that one. the red is nice. but not keen on the rest. i wish more clothes shops would bring back dresses like this for the more mature ladies. hate the fashion now! nothing feminine any more like there used to be.

Lovely haul, but don't think the blue and white dress does anything for you, you have a fab figure and it made you look bigger than the other dresses. Love the mint tiered dress, think I'll have to try that one. Love the way you presented this video, well done !

I so agree with you about the length of M and S dresses - far too long ! Most women are about 5’ 4’’… and tbey need to take note !!

Some of the dresses look like Aunt Sally would wear in the TV program Worzzal gumage - if that's the correct spelling 😅
Shop in a department for petite ladies if the length is an issue at least you have that option us tall ladies don’t have that choice women are all different heights you only have to look at M&S long options on items to see that they are always sold out !

My favourites are the green dress and the burgundy one. For me the sleeves are too puffy on the others, but I'm a smidge under 5ft so your extra 3 inch or so makes all the difference 😀, they look lovely on you. As for the bardot dress, if you feel as good as you look in it, wear it. It's a perfect holiday dress x

Thought I had added a comment but disappeared so forgive please if you have heard from me twice. Greeting you from aderbyshire where we have had heavy rain, high winds and even sleet. Such a treat on a Saturday morning! Some lovely dresses Pat, all of which suit you. My favourites are the green and the burgundy. I have to be careful with the new fashion for puff sleeves and make sure the sleeves don’t emphasise my ample bust😂. The Bardot dress would be perfect for a Caribbean cruise which, if I don’t stop shopping, I shall not be going on this year! I shall have to just stare at a full wardrobe instead!xx Liz

I’m a new viewer. I really liked most of the dresses and how you styled them. My favourite was the red, the neckline really suited you. I wasn’t so keen on the blue and white one, it looked a bit stiff to me.
The green Bardot one was great for a beach type holiday.
Hi Pat, lovely to see the dresses on the hangers and on you too. My favourite ones on you are the light green floral which looks great with your colouring, the burgundy one and the bold one at the end. It actually looks really fresh and lovely on you and the print isn't too bold for you. You can wear it on or off the shoulder which is nice. It is so much better to try on at home rather than squashed into a cubicle in the shops. Not so sure about the navy and white one. I feel the fabric is a bit stiff for the style of the dress. They all really suited you Pat - I don't think the last one looked too young for you. My personal favourite is the red one. You're right about the colour suiting you. I love that it's a very 1970's style, ( Remember Barbara's green one, that got ruined, in "The Good Life" ?). They were so flattering, I have just bought a dress in Fat Face for that very reason. It's not often I really can't resist something, but it's a style of dress that hasn't been around for a long time, so I grabbed it. Looks like it's part of a trend this year ... so now I don't know whether to go looking online at dresses - or whether it's better that I don't! 😀

Good morning Pat…..Saturday in Derbyshire and so far we have has high winds, heavy rain and sleet and in between blue skies. Will we ever wear these lovely dresses other than our hols in warmer climes? You have brought a great selection for us to see. Actually Pat they all look good on you and I particularly liked the green dress. So lovely and cool looking and easy wear. Not too sure about the blue and white. Definitely better on. The burgundy is my favourite….love the neckline! Hi Pat, you never fail to please with your choices. Sadly I have never been able to purchase dresses from M & S, far far too long, myself being 5ft. Cut these dresses in half, will lose it’s sense of style. Anyway, I love them all on you however there are cheaper, which you have proved countless times. All very fresh for spring/summer months. I can see why you chose the blue and white, again fresh looking but sounds strange as you move haha. whether this would change once washed. I think the shoulders are too large and flouncy. Last two are delightful. Definately keepers. Have a great weekend, take care xx❤

I prefer to wear trainers with some of my dresses but with them being long I have to wear a wedge heel and youre right shortening them the dress doesnt always look as good does it.
