  • During the last ice age 20.000 years ago a sheet of ice covered large parts of Europe and had it’s epicenter at the High Coast. The weight of the ice suppressed the land but following the glacial meltdown the land has been, and is still, rising out of the sea. This is why The High Coast became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.
At Skuleberget you can visit Naturum - a centre where visitors can learn more about the national park and its geological history.
And don’t miss the opportunity to climb the mountain by means of one of Europe’s largest Via Ferrata-trails. An unforgettable adventure surrounded by stunning nature.
