As I said, I will update and share the process with everyone via social media when circumstances allow me to. It's a very exciting time, and I want to bring all of you along with me for the ride! i was so scared from the title you were going to announce the To Sleep movie was cancelled! so excited though, i think if we managed to wait a decade for the book in the first place we can wait a little for this

Hi Christopher, if Eragon was adapted, I would LOVE to see an Eragon tv show, kinda like a Game of thrones for a slightly younger audience. But of course we need to see Arya become a Disney Princess!
Turning that massive story (TSlaSoS) into a screenplay for a movie that can be produced without astronomical costs, both financial and creative, will be a challenge., to say the least.
I am happy and sad about the Eragon film, it got my bro into Eragon but was so bad it was so heartbreaking. One day I want to create a 3D Animated version of Eragon as a film or TV show, slowly working on my skills to do that will see how it goes by 2030 who knows lol
This is one tremendous project. It's going to need an huge budget and a good visual effect team. Lets hope they do it justice
i feel like this movie needs a big budget to look right.. the amount of "impossible" things that need to be visualized via cgi, etc is immense. essentially the entirety of the movie would take place in cgi environments. lets hope theyve got some killer cgi artists!

I'm currently halfway through TSiaSoS and am enjoying it immensely, and my 7 year old son just finished the first Eragon book and is starting Eldest. I don't know if an age was given for Falconi, but in my mind I imagined he was being played by Woody Harrelson. I don't know if anyone would agree with that
Honestly, yeah I think that’s about what I was picturing in my head. But I think Harrelson is much older. I don’t think falconi is actually that much older than Kira
Personally, I heard (not really visually but voice) Christian Slater as Falconi
it was mentioned that to Kira, Falconi looked like he was in his forties

I think both Eragon and To Sleep would do well with the new budgets series gets these days (although it might still not be enough)
I wish Eragon was a tv show. To me it's about the journey. It's about learning and growing through failure and trials. Id love to see it as a movie for a big production value and everything, but I wish it was a show. Id tune in any week to watch my favorite book series live action!

I do not trust Disney whatsoever so although it would be cool for a movie, I feel like they are too interested in money that the essence of Eragon would be lost

I remember going on your website back in the day, maybe a year or so after the movie came out, the main thing that brought me to your site was Eldest, that book lit my mind up. I remember checking it CONSTATLY for news about the 3rd (and then 4th) book.
It sucks you had to learn the lesson of Hollywood so harshly, I think a lot of us learned it along with you, I know I did.
I recall as soon as I saw Carvahall, and it was a dirty peasant village, I knew the movie would be bad.
A tough lesson, but fortunate you learned it so early, I think.

I also think that it would be hard to put everything in four movies so I think you should remake it as a show.

I cannot wait to see the directions you lot take with the Sea of Stars film. I think the obvious thing I am looking forwards to is the casting choice. I would love to see the interpretations of characters like Kira, Falconi, Sparrow, and more. I have ideas in my head, yet it would be nice to have a sort of official version of these characters visually.

I purchased the book as an audiobook as I am currently reading the final book in Salvatore's Drizzt saga. Holy shit that narrator was BOMB. I very much enjoyed the book, really can't wait to see what this deal possibly brings to the table.

hey chris, Im in the middle of tsiasos, and I can smell the full weight of this universe, and Im excited to see future books here. But since you will be writting the screen play, will you take a step back from the fractalverse for a bit, or will you try to squeeze it in your schedule? good luck on the movie. you deserve a good adaptation
I'm so torn on wether or not I want to see Runcible and Mr. Fuzzypants in the movie. They distracted me from the plot for the last 100 pages. But they are well worth getting distracted.
But they help show a softer side to Falconi. At least Runcible does.

Christopher, I think if Disney doesn't want to do anything with eragon, you should offer to buy back the film rights and if this film your working on works out, bringing it to them to reboot it.
I'm excited to see what the CGI wizards come up with! The animation nowadays is better than 2006 by an order of magnitude. also they could make earagon an anime, they did it with Deltora. its almost 2021, everything is on the table.

Can we all agree if a reboot does happen Jeremy Irons should still play Brom? He was about the only thing I enjoyed about the 2006 film.
One of the problems with the eragon movie in my opinion is that it was such a great long and epic story in the book.. and the movie felt very short and rushed.. Christopher deserves a TV series or multi part movies for his books. However I trust you to condense the story into a movie Christopher and Angela, I can't wait to see it, i'm sure it will still be good :)

Hey Chris so many people would like to know why you focused on one and only world with the 4 books in thoose 10/15 years, while many authors, same or different genre, make wayy more, likely from 20to30 books in 15 years. Is that your working process, polishing one story and one book, instead of telling many different storyes with the same core structure? What do you think?
What authors are you reading that create 20-30 books in 10-15 years?
@@aduggamer787 its 2 book per year. In 15 year you have 30 books. I do know an italian author that wrote more than 100 books in 15 year, also with the help of CW

Oh, I hope they/you turn Eragon into a series! If they are smart enough, they should let you take the reins a great amount of the time... Everytime I talk to someone, who is not a big reader, something in me squeals, when I have to tell them that the books are so fantastic and lifechanging (at least for me), but they should NEVEREVER watch the movie.

There are a few sex scenes (nothing too graphic) and F-bombs are dropped occasionally. But it’s still great so I highly recommend
