@@ron-om1qh he always weighs his car. If you watch the videos he posted after, he always weighs no matter win or lose just to make sure nothing has changed. Furthermore he was never going to contest it and he made that known from the get go. He knew he was beat from the 60 foot and he admitted that. To sit and try and bash his character and say he was going to until people started complaining is messed up. Also if you watch Ryan’s video, you can hear Javier tell pat and Lizzys that they don’t have to weigh and that was before Ryan even got to the scales

He literally asked how they going to weigh her car and someone responded stack all the pieces up on it. So he was definitely planning on making her weigh it.

Glad she’s ok. Respect to Ryan as he understands the situation. To Lizzy’s dad, yes you are her father, she’s your blood, but you are nowhere close to being more knowledgeable then an EMT. For you to tell an EMT what he can’t say to you as he is trying to help your daughter is no longer a situation of you being concerned about her but more of your ego. The EMT knows what to do. They are there to help and give rapid response to a bad situation.
You have obviously not been the parent in such a situation. At least Mr. Musi didn't yell at the EMT. Kye, her mother and father were all in that shot . . . . Just needing a quick look to see if she was conscious.

It's amazing when you get way too many people trying to help at one time it actually begins to not help.
The only thing that could've turn this to near fatal was his father not letting the first responders do their part.
I love how racers and mechanics run to the car and swarm around while paramedics are trying to do their job.
And all are in the way!
And yet the father and a few guys yells at the parademics that tries to help his child

That’s a great dad he was being pushed away from his all he knows dying or injured daughter and stayed his ground doing anything to stay belt his daughter .

NEAR-FATAL ! And they were able to revive her to the point she was able to climb out of the car and walk away. Those guys are the greatest.

I quit watching the fastest street cars years ago when they started all the drama stuff. I remember when Ryan came on the scene and they all turned their backs on him. From what I'm seeing he is the most stand-up guy on that team (apologies to others since I haven't been watching lately but Ryan is a class act!).
Yeah, the 405 didn't like him at first. Now he is their leader.

@@michaelmayer6778 I think Ryan stopped when he saw the accident and went to go check on Lizzy. I believe they gave it to Lizzy because she was ahead when everything happened.
I think...I am not totally sure on that as they do have their own rules.
Please let the EMT and Medical personal do their jobs that they are trained and qualified to do. The crews for all the teams, I understand the concerns and love they have for their drivers. Please try to control your emotions and let the emergency medical personal step in do their job.

As I recall, Dale Earnhardt hit the wall in a similar matter. At the time, it didn't look that bad. We all know the outcome. Anything can happen. Thankfully she's ok and racing another day.
In modern race cars if you have a HANS and properly installed and still inside there expiration date racing harness not to mention a closed face helmet you’ll be fine.
Dale sr fought against new safety rules. No hans device ,open faced helmet.

Definitely.
But a concussion isn't fun.
Flipping isn't really that bad, it's hard stops like hitting a wall that are the bad crashes. Flipping dispenses the energy over time, which makes it better (if you will) than hitting a wall.

Hitting the wall can do serious damage. I wonder why her helmet was off? My experience is NEVER take the helmet off before paramedics have given clearence to do so.., so WHY?
She could’ve taken it off. Or one of the twenty people trying to “help” that had no business messing with her at all. Get out of the way and let the professionals do what they’re there for.
Ryan won that race. She hit the wall before the finish line and that disqualifies her.

Look at the video... She was over the line BEFORE she hit the wall, then the ENTIRE CAR crossed crossed before she passed the finish line in Ryan's lane..

I have seen many crashes much more severe than this. Yes, she hit both walls, but this is fairly mild by comparison.
Sometimes it'a the angles that make it way worse then it looks like. If I had to guess she got a concussion.

That rescue was a bit of a mess with crowds of random folk getting at the driver. Surely this sport should have a proper safely crew that attends after accidents.

NPK races 1/8th mile. Where she crossed was just before the 1/4 mile mark. She won before she hit the wall
