LE, have you heard of the 3x3x3 rule? In simple terms, it takes 3 days for your new dog to decompress, 3 weeks for them to learn your routine, and 3 months for them to truly feel at home. Give Rooster the space and time he needs to adjust. He's beautiful.
Happy for Rooster to have the perfect fit. Thank you for all you do for all the rescues. I understand you have had a lot of tough comments from the people who just sit on their couch's and have nothing kind to say and are not out doing just judging. Know there are lots of us who watch and never comment but that do appreciate all you give and do. Hang in there and happy for your new addition.
LE and Megan, I know you're more cat people per se. However, DO NOT shave this dog. Thinking it will be more comfortable in the summer. These types of breeds have a two layer coat system. If yo shave Rooster, he would be prone to sunburn, insect bites and a host of other issues. In fact the dog will shed his under coat. And the top substrate coat will actually cool him off. And provide shade to his skin. On that note congratulations in finding a guarding dog that fits the sanctuary.
Rooster is very beautiful and bet will watch the goats very well and the chickens too! So fortunate for him to come live with you and Meghan! Thank you what a great job you guys are doing!
LE and Magan. You are doing such a wonderful job. 😊 you are so like your dad. Please don't let the haters mess with you. You are awesome. To be so full of love and care for so many animals at your age ... ❤️ you both . Thanks for sharing your lives. With us. God bless you both.
L.E., Rooster is GORGEOUS!!!! He has landed in the best place possible!!!! I'll bet he will be helping Phoebe learn her job as she grows up. I think you were doing a good job brushing Rooster with the new brush. It looks like he has quite the undercoat to get rid of. That's what you were getting out and no, it wasn't hurting him. If it was hurting him, he would have moved away from you. I'll bet it felt really good to him. You asked about how to get the hair out of the brush. Just grab the hair and pull it out in the same direction of the bristles. You will probably want to brush him all over everyday for the next week or so, to help him shed the undercoat which will allow him to be cooler in that heat you're having down there. Thank you for making and sharing your videos with us!!!! 💜🐾🐾💜
I want to mention. He has been used to being in an apartment and probably with air conditioning. It will take him a while before he gets used to being outside in the heat all the time. When you let phoebe out, he wanted in why he was standing at the door. I can tell he loves to be brushed. He layed down for you as soon as he felt it on his back. It's no different than brushing your own hair. No biggy. He is a beautiful boy, and will be a great protector of the pastures.
LE it's the pitch. Ears are sensitive to sounds. Reintroduce to the water. His body is adjusting to the outside. If he chases cats or birds just say NO. Takes time to adjust to the new home. Blessings 🙏🫶🙏🫶
I feel for Megs uncle. That had to be so hard for him. 😢 Glad he chose you guys to take him. He will help teach Phoebe the ways of the farm dog and they can be companions to each other. The Lord certainly works in mysterious ways. ❤ His name is cool too! ❤
Thank you for giving Rooster a forever home. Megs uncle must be a wonderful man to give up a beloved pet. He can be assured that Rooster will have a great home at ISS.
Get to know him and he will teach you what you need to know about him. Sit back, trust him, and observe. GPs are full grown at 4 yrs. He appears very well mannered and has obviously been loved and cared for. Phoebe has already begun to learn more from him than anyone else could accomplish. Observe but try not to hover or interfere. You’ll be amazed.
LE, also know that dogs will pant when they’re nervous and/ or stressed. It is to be expected with Rooster’s change. He will get acclimated soon enough and having Phoebe will be a welcome for him as well! 💫💗💫

I love your new dog Rooster I hope him and Phoebe get along OK. You and Megan are so kind hearted to all your animals. Rooster is Sadies double. Lots of love from Livingston Scotland..xxxx ❤❤
I think Rooster will be a good fit for the farm, Megan's uncle knows a farm dog need a farm to be happy. He just had to check out the funny looking chickens! He'll also help with teaching Phoebe how to be a good LGD!💖💖💖
Hi Le and Magen thank you for giving beautiful handsome Rooster a loving forever family with your guys. He will be the perfect companion for your beautiful precious puppy Phoebe. Rooster will watch over her and protect her. And Rooster will train, guide and show her the ropes being a guardian dog for your fur babies and property. The will work hand in hand as a great team protecting your fur babies and you property. Thank you for giving him the best life ever. He going to love living there especially with Phoebe by his side when she gets bigger. ❤❤❤❤They going to make a great couple and team for the Sanctuary ❤❤❤❤ I'm so happy and glad that Phoebe and Rooster going to have each other for companionship. ❤❤❤❤❤

@@JenEnzweilerabsolutely correct! Never ever cut a Great Pyrenees hair!! They control there own heat. He will do just fine as our Husky n German Shepherd's did!!
What a great dog ! He is going to be a great dog for ISS. I know this was a hard decision for Meg's uncle but he must have been relieved to have found him a great home.
Rooster is beautiful! You and Megan are doing a beautiful job with the sanctuary. Ignore the haters they have nothing better to do. You guys just keep doing what you’re doing! 🙏❤️
With the way Rooster is pacing, he's more than likely wondering where is previous owner is. I know that with your love and kindness, he will soon feel at ease. Beautiful boy. ❤
Bless you for hanging in there. I've heard people are saying mean things, but I think it shows your strength and determination to keep sharing your life with us. It means so much to me. I love dogs specifically and enjoy seeing all the other animals at ISS. Your dad is so proud of you and your sweet heart and kind soul show thru. Anyone that could be mean to you lives with their own pain and sorrow. Take care
I'm ANITA: LE and Megan: Thank you for taking Rooster in, He's Beautiful Maybe; Rooster needs to go in house for little while to cool off since he's been inside dog with AC. I know that's what the vet said; "For our Dog" to get them use to the summer heat. Hope that's helpful Build him up little bit at a time and extend over a few days. It's Hard for Any Animal to go from AC to Extreme Heat. God Bless Megan's Uncle for Giving Rooster to You. He put Roosters Needs Over His Own Need though; I'm sure it did break his heart. It will give him comfort knowing that Rooster is living his Best Life with Y'all. He will be loved and taken Great Care of. Luv From Tenn. God Bless You All and God Bless All the Animals

Rooster has been a working LGD and is working. He’s not shy. And GPs are famous for doing everything on their own time, including coming when called. He will be the best trainer Phoebe could have.
Rooster will be a great teacher to Phoebe!!! Super sad but at least he stayed in the family & went to a good home!!! I would let him make the decision on what he wants to protect. He will find his purpose & hopefully be happy!!!❤❤

Hi LE I hope you are doing great! Love your videos! Love Phoebe to! I am in love with Rooster! He will do great on the ISS! He will do great with Phoebe! I am glad you got this beautiful great Pyrenees! My girl Belle is Australian Border Collie and Great Pyrenees! ❤❤❤❤ 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 I am happy your Uncle can come over anytime!
He is gorgeous! Welcome to ISS Rooster! ... I remember Jami showing a special tool that she uses to strip out Sadie's undercoat. That might help Rooster stay cool? The flood babies are very cute and look great!
What a beautiful boy! I'm sure he will get along just fine on the sanctuary, he'll find his place and settle in nicely. My family used to have a dog, born and raised in our home just the same as all our other pets, but would run and hide EVERY time a camera was pulled out, and especially if it was pointed at her. It was the wildest fear induced by litterally nothing 😅(her name was Lil'Bit, for a little bit of momma and a little bit of daddy😂) I'm sure it'll be no time before Rooster rules the roost!❤
LE and Megan you are doing a great job! Love meeting Rooster too. Please make sure you check into getting his undercoat removed. He can become too hot in your Texas heat.
Hi LE 😊 I'm so happy for Rooster and the entire sanctuary. I loved the "3x3x3 rule" comment made earlier. I was simply going to point out that his just new, familiarizing, making acquaintances. Lol Plus, at the beginning, Rooster knew you were not talking to him directly. Not understanding it but knowing you were talking to the phone...maybe 😊
Well. He sure does look a lot like Sadie! Not as tall, but looks huskier, more muscular. He’ll teach Phoebe how to be a guardian dog! I’m very glad y’all are able to give him a forever home! Please tell Megan that we -your online family- know you both are doing a great job. I don’t care what the “keyboard warriors“ say. (I also know that words hurt.) Prayers ♥️🙏♥️
Welcome Home, Rooster! You found the perfect place, with loving humans. LE, he's beautiful and will teach Phoebe to be a great guardian as well. I also believe that he's going to teach y'all so much, and that's a good thing. What a blessing from God and Megan's Uncle! I said a prayer for him. I know that it took lots of strength and a big heart for him to let his boy go. ❤
Beautiful dog. Make sure ask your Dad how thin out her undercoat with a special brush in Texas heat 🔥🔥🔥☀️🌤️. Buddy has pet vacuum to thin Luna fur coat . He bought from Amazon. Glad he will live his best life here.
Thank you for giving Rooster the room he needs, and also keeping him in the family. That sounds like a win-win situation for everyone. Hehe, already herding the guineas. Only thing that I can see that should be monitored is, that he seems to be resource guarding if he growled at Phoebe when he was eating. He did it with the water trough also, as Phoebe walked by, when he was drinking. Subtle but he stiffened his posture and gave Phoebe a look. Best not to feed them in the same area, so it doesn't have a chance to escalate - which can happen quickly... speaking from experience - unless Phoebe is a quick learner and keeps her distance. Btw, how is the cat that showed up on your porch after the flood? I think you named her Turtle?
Maybe you can look into getting a doggie vacuum with comb attachments to help keep Rooster free of excess hair. Rooster looks happy. Megan's uncle must feel comforted knowing Rooster is loved and can roam free. Thank you for giving him a loving home.
I'm sure Rooster will be a great addition to the sanctuary and he will be able to help you train Phoebe some. He looks like a nice calm dog and Phoebe is being respectful to him although she does look like she is holding back on her desire to play with him lol xx
LE, have you heard of the 3x3x3 rule? In simple terms, it takes 3 days for your new dog to decompress, 3 weeks for them to learn your routine, and 3 months for them to truly feel at home. Give Rooster the space and time he needs to adjust. He's beautiful.

Lol
Plus, at the beginning, Rooster knew you were not talking to him directly.
(I also know that words hurt.)
Prayers ♥️🙏♥️
Welcome Home, Rooster! You found the perfect place, with loving humans. LE, he's beautiful and will teach Phoebe to be a great guardian as well. I also believe that he's going to teach y'all so much, and that's a good thing. What a blessing from God and Megan's Uncle! I said a prayer for him. I know that it took lots of strength and a big heart for him to let his boy go. ❤
I love your latest rescue, ROOSTER, LE🙏🏻😍
Rooster looks just like Sadie they could be brothers and sisters he is so beautiful❤❤❤
Oh...hopefully Rooster can work with Phoebe as she grows. I was worried about her needing someone to learn from. He'll be great!
LE, Rooster is a beautiful dog. Thank you for taking him. He will be great for the Sanctuary. I hope him and Phoebe will become best friends.❤
Oh my gosh Rooster is handsome ❗️😂❤️ I am so happy for y’all to give him a good home. Hopefully he can help train Phoebe.
Maybe you can look into getting a doggie vacuum with comb attachments to help keep Rooster free of excess hair.
Rooster looks happy. Megan's uncle must feel comforted knowing Rooster is loved and can roam free. Thank you for giving him a loving home.
Yes, you are brushing right. This type of brush really gets the fur off well.
Love the new baby. Rooster will be a great addition to the family ❤
I can see Rooster wants in to cool off. ❤
I'm sure Rooster will be a great addition to the sanctuary and he will be able to help you train Phoebe some. He looks like a nice calm dog and Phoebe is being respectful to him although she does look like she is holding back on her desire to play with him lol xx
LE he's doing his job. It normally comes natural to them especially after a few years. So he's getting to know his perimeter
LE, you are such a kind person. Nice video. Keep up the good work!
