I don't what it is about this anime that i like more than other Isekais. I know there are others with similar premises with the MC being OP and not wanting to take a combatant role, but something about Tsukimichi stands out
The story definitely sets it apart. Just feels a lot more like they're actually people just trying to figure out a right way to live. Don't wanna hurt anyone, but will reduce them to atoms if they try and hurt what you care about. It helps that Makoto has the power to do so, but also doesn't really understand how it all works. We get to be surprised and learn along side them.
That's very true, the whole cast has their own flaws and many of them don't really shy away from it either

Oh it's not a joke, technically they're not speaking Japanese, but Makoto just met someone from a land that is heavily Japanese influenced so he's asking if he spoke Japanese to them would they understand him. Root is saying that it's been altered through the generations and would be like Latin to them
As in, what we call vocal Latin isn’t the same thing as what the Romans used in their everyday speech.
