      I like flying in the E175. It's surprisingly spacious for a small plane. Thanks for watching!

    What I miss are those trail mix snacks Alaska used to serve. I used to fly them constantly when I lived in California, but now even though they serve my home airport their fares are unimpressive.

      Alaska isn't as good as it used to be. I wish they hadn't bought out Virgin. What is your home airport now? Thanks for watching!

    Nice report. Alaska offers pretty good legroom compared to most other airlines in the US. The boarding process isn’t the best, but it surely beats my experience with Norwegian Airlines from my recent trip. You will see that video in a few days. There was no announcement of any kind, and no agents to check whether you have priority boarding or not.

      Oh, I'll look out for that. The US boarding process is not great. But I've seen a lot worse. Anyway, thanks for watching.

    Nice report Jeff. I haven't flown out of SNA in like 7 years and surprised to see where you boarded your Alaska flight to be quite different. It looks like there was some expansion at SNA.

      Where I boarded is where the regional planes board. I think there was a little expansion. Can't be too much though. Thanks for watching!

    Embraer planes are very nice and very well built.

    I’ve never flown on Alaska before, are they better than southwest?

    • @aviationwithjeff
      @aviationwithjeff  Год назад +1

      Depends. What do you want to compare between the two?

      @@aviationwithjeffService wise and IFE…... I had a horrible experience with Southwest on the way home. Southwest use to be good but they went downhill after the Christmas meltdown. Any time I fly with Southwest, we have to wait an hour at baggage claim no matter where we go. On other airlines you just get bags in a second. I’m going to fly with Alaska Airlines in January.

      In that case, Alaska being more of a full service carrier would generally speaking be a better experience. Unless you purchase basic economy, aka saver fare, you get to choose a seat. You do have to pay $30 to check a bag, so Southwest does have that. Alaska is generally on time with schedule. IFE is similar in that you'll stream entertainment on your device, but there is no streaming live tv on Alaska. That's just a little bit. Thanks.
