I flew one week ago from MNL TO SFO, the services was great but the foods was bad, they serve better foods at their lounge. I hope they will improve the quality of their foods in order to compete with other airlines.

Awesome review. I will be trying this product in 1A. As a Filipino-American that tries to avoid flying PAL it is very exciting to have another option to fly direct to Manila. Vegan Meals on United are really tough to swallow. Would be great if you could show the flight menu for your other flights next time.
Also, I do hear they are revamping their catering more into a tapas style. Many smalls dishes, more options, hopefully…. More flavor…
I just came back from Manila and flew with United. The Business class seats compared to PAL is far superior but aside from that everything was a big disappointment.. The food was so bad that I barely touched it. The service? What service? The FAs are nowhere to be found during the entire flight. Nothing beats the service provided by any Asian airlines.

You are correct if you want an Asian airline that is partners with United Airlines in the same Alliance. These are SQ🇸🇬 NH🇯🇵 BR🇹🇼 OZ🇰🇷 and CA. The last one tends to be avoided Air China🇨🇳 yet the first 4 are preferred to 🇺🇲 from 🇵🇭MNL/CEB
I took united to Manila from SF. Horrible service, food not even good for homeless people, everything!
@user-sq2no7gr8b that's what you get with the American Legacy carriers bad food bad service in East Asia Philippine Airlines its equivalent. Better food try this JL/NH🇯🇵 KE/OZ🇰🇷 SQ🇸🇬 BR/CI🇹🇼 CX🇭🇰 possibly MU/CZ🇨🇳 QF🇦🇺 between SFO & MNL
@user-sq2no7gr8b have you tried Singapore Airlines All Nippon Airways EVA Air and Asiana? you basically get the same Star Alliance Service as United Airlines yet five star quality
Food looks amazing!
I was a loyal United customer for many years, but have tried to avoid it for two decades now, even the Business class. For several years now, my Business class flights back to the US from Manila have been either my favorite Qatar Airways via Doha with QSuites or Korean Air if I want a stop in Seoul. As much as i want to like United, they continually fail to earn fliers’ loyalty. I wish they cared enough to do better!

You ordered your meal...how can you not know what it is?? Sadly flights leaving the US have below average vegan options, but flying to US the meals are much better.😊
Excellent video however the plane would come in from the east coast of the United States Washington and Newark which explains why the crews have East Coast mentality more oriented for the short Trans Atlantic trips IAD/EWR🇺🇲-FRA/MUC🇩🇪. The better solution is United Airlines Star Alliance 5 Star Skytrax rated partners NH🇯🇵 SQ🇸🇬 OZ🇰🇷 BR🇹🇼 on SFO-MNL. If you are looking for the same Fleet as Philippine Airlines yet five star quality as the mentioned Airlines you are looking at Cathay Pacific🇭🇰.
I've heard great things about Cathay Pacific... hopefully I can fly with them sometime soon!
EVA food is a lot better than United in the Business Class…
Business class is really expensive, I am more satisfied with premium class

Not impressed wth United Polaris Business Class because of the 48 + seats Unted crams into there. Their amenity kits are nothing but free samples the vendors give to United and they look like it too, and as for the meals, they are about the same as in economy. In fact, in Asia to the USA., United has China Eastern cater their in flight meals. How do I know that, I asked a cabin Crew. SFO Business Class lounge I can pass on because it didn't feel exclusive. Reminded me of cafteria with views. Have flown 25+ roundtrips SFO-PVG probably in the last 2 decades. Video is nice.

Ive flown UA Polaris a number of times and always feel underwhelmed. I prefer PA and other Asian Airlines for service and cuisine especially ANA, JAL or any of the Korean Airlines. The service is top-notch and the respectfulness of their culture is second to none. UA service is mediocre to substandard and my cousin is a FA for United and often shares their mindset on how they handle customers.

@@jamesmoninger1982It wouldn’t be a problem with me if it was serve still on a plastic. Though I can honestly say, PAL Business Class foods still are better. Main reason why I won’t fly Business Class with United

Didn't quite watch the full thing. The $8 Wifi is for DOMESTIC connectivity.
The $8 WiFi is also for international connectivity as well- at least for this flight. I paid $8 for the flight-long internet connection on this flight!
