I trap in the Ozark mtns. I live south of Mountain Home. White river up here. Otters are everywhere. I trapped 5000 acre hunting club. I caught 53 coyotes off it. 50 out of 53 was eat up with mange. I target otters on that creek runs into white river. And stock ponds in my area. I caught 28 otters. Thats targeting otters. Trapping season opens same weekend as rifle deer season. I trap to me its more fun. I use a flat set over dirt hole. If its going to rain. I can keep my flat set working in the rain. I use grass clipping.

That’s awesome! I’m impressed, I’ve often wondered if trapping otters has a noticeable impact on fishing holes and keeping fish in the water.

@theozarkpodcast that creek runs into the river. Used to a lot of small mouth. Not any more. Otters cleaned it out. I don't think so. Because there are always otters coming up the creek. Otters will kill a fish. Just to be killing. It's a game to them. That hunting club . There seeing more animals. It's overrun with hogs too.
