If you're having trouble with some of the phrases:
Cup of ambition: Coffee, the thing needed to give you the energy in the morning to go pursue your dreams
9 to 5: 9AM to 5PM is the typical American work day
Mortician: Doctor specializing in dead people for autopsies or funeral preperation
PHD: An academic credential, known as a "Doctorate". People with PHDs often refer to themselves as doctors even if their area of study is not even remotely medical. (In this case, music. Considering music careers are largely subjective and fame-based, a PHD in music is probably useless.)
Lobsters screaming: Lobster is often prepared by being boiled alive. You'd scream too.
Sous Chef: 2nd in command to the head chef
Crustacean: Ten legged animals without a backbone, includes lobsters
Composition: Writing sheet music for multiple parts in harmony. IE how we went from a country song to this.
Judges: This performance was part of a chorus competition! They're being judged for their performance against other choral groups at the same event
95: A score of 95 out of 100 is usually in the ball park of the winning score of the event.
Silver: This particular group came in second place the year before, and probably for several years before that
Incidentally, this performance netted them a 95.6 and the gold medal
Tag by David Rife: The Tag is a chord or series of chords that is held at length near the end of a song. It's important to get your harmony just right for this part, so sometimes extra people help with the writing or direction for this part. David Wright is the Associate Director of the group, which is based out of St Louis

Brilliant ! Why are there no women ?
Ambassadors of Harmony is a men's chorus. Their chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society also has a Mixed Youth Choir and a newly created Treble Choir.
Thank you for your answer. So you are saying that even if we only see men in this great performance, everybody is welcome and the barbershop community is willing to get more diversity, am I right ? If so, this is wonderful ! What female performances would you recommend listening to as well ?
@@maxencebrevard9406anything by GQ, The Ladies, the White Rosettes, Rich-Tone, Skyline... if you search for Sweet Adelines you'll find half the world of women's barbershop singing, the other half is slowly making its way into full unification with BHS, making it the generic barbershop society for all group makeups
