I got to level 8.
I was kind of struggling on level 9 but not much.

actually, this is an ability the brain naturally has by perceiving the words and remembering the important parts which actually allows it to piece together the full sentence, even the words you “missed” while reading the next line and is one of the most important skills in speedreading

The odd thing about this test is that, yes, I could read nine easily and ten mostly, but usually I don't read one word at a time like that. Most fast readers read phrases, rather than words.
That’s exactly what I do, if it’s a common phrase there’s no need to read every word because you can immediately grasp the meaning

Hell yeah, my brain is already focusing on the next words while I'm processing the one I'm reading, so it makes me read faster.
Managed to understand the meaning of level 10, although I might rephrase the sentence incorrectly, or miss some smaller words. The other levels were fun too, only started to struggle at level 8 :D

i think the reason it's so easy to pass level 10 is that you can see the most important words so therefore you can understand the overall message rather than reading every individual word. don't take my word for this though.

That was a strange feeling haha, I stopped being able to say the words in my head at level 7, but was able to still read and comprehend up to level 9. I don’t think I’ve ever read like that without actually saying the words in my head. 😂
Around Level 7 I reached a weird point where I couldn't say the words in my head fast enough, but my brain could still process the thought of every sentence.

I suck at enunciation so I wasn't really understanding but I was kinda catching the gist of it Lol
When you're speed reading at this level, usually the reader isn't looking for the words in particular, rather, they're looking for the gist of the phrase or sentence. Going by that, all the levels could be understood at a basic level to some - if not most - experienced readers.

i fell comftably reading 600 words a min and beeing able to exeactly tell what happend thought if you ask me to write it word to word i miss about 10% mainly words that arent important in the sentance

Yeah I understood the gist of each level, but after 7 I had a hard time actually catching all the words
I’m pretty sure publishers speed-read the works of the writers to give some quick feedback.

In case ur wondering why you can’t read at this speed when normally reading a book, you are capable of reading at a much faster pace when you don’t need to move your eyes

because when you move your eyes, your vision blacks out for a small interval of time (unless your eyes are not normal), (the reason you don't see your vision blacking out is that your brain is a very good liar) so scrolling through books and capturing all of the words quickly is hard when your vision blacks out half of the time.
to test whether or not what i said is actually true or not: look in a clear mirror closely and move the direction of your eyes around a little. if i was lying, you would be able to see your eyes move around but if i was telling the truth, you would only be able to see the destination of your eyes when they move.

Reading fast is fun and im glad i could keep up!
the whole idea of speed reading is that you don't technically read the whole thing but you are able to extract all of the important information and disregard the unimportant. So even if you dont read every single word its still speed reading

I don't think I'm very good at reading fluently at more than a fairly slow pace. But I was able to catch important and relevant information through most of it, so there's that.

was doing all the levels up until 10 pretty easy, at 10 i was missing a few words but was still able to understand

What i do is i take mental pictures of each word and sort them out after the sentance is done
For me, when I read I don't actually READ every word, I read every other word or less and my brain automatically fills in the rest of the sentence and 99% of the time it's what the sentence actually says. I pretty sure that's how most quick readers read, or anyone who reads books quickly and can finish them quickly.
me too, you just need a few keywords and your brain will understand the rest for you. I "trained" this by reading books almost every day when I have the time.

Yeah. Sometimes when I’m reading I’ll skip over a few words to even entire sentences and I’ll still be able to mostly understand it. I do have to reread every now and then, and Im starting to try to reading slower so I can get each word.

The words are Nobody can read these words! If you say you can read it, you are either lying or you are an alien species that has an extreme reading power. Your reading strength is more then double the strength of a normal human. You are incredible!

I was not expecting to be able to pass level nine with no trouble at all. Although i couldn't read the extremely long word, at the end when you showed it for longer i could easily read it. I even passed level ten, although a word or two slipped passes me.
level 7: i can just about read every word
level 10: i can grasp the meaning but not the individual words.

I got the same results as you! I legit showed my parents my results cause they say I don’t read enough but reading fan-fics, mangas and even the subtitles of animes improved my reading speed quite a bit! The fact that I’m a kid who entered 6th grade 3 weeks ago makes me really happy ngl😁
Surprisingly, even as a legally blind person, I could read up to level 9. One thing people can do to learn faster is to not vocalize the words in their mind, and instead focus on recognizing the character combinations of words, and making small assumptions from there. This saves a lot of time reading, and is a a technique I use to read large documents quickly
Indeed, I use the same technique to speed read many books online,
Enabling me to finish books in under an hour(of course bigger books take a bit more time)

I actually got past level 10, though it was around level 8 that I started struggling, basically it said something about if you can read this, you are either lying or are an alien, or superhuman. Your reading speed is about double than the average human’s

At level 7 i started struggling keeping up with all the words, but still got the message through. I was able to “read” and understand everything, even past level 10. I had an amazing time reading, but overall, when you know some of the larger words in the english dictionary you can glance at the word and recognise it easily, therefor it was not really a struggle understanding until the end.
Level 1: You would have to be very bad at reading to fail this level.

Well I’m not gonna lie, I couldn’t actually read about half of the words on the last one cause I got tripped up, but I guess my ability to use context clues is good cause I still figured what it said

I couldn't believe i could actually read it! The thing is, I read it, but my mind actually processes it a bit slower. But the breaks between levels gave my mind a small chance to rest and process the last few words properly

It really depends on what you define as speed reading. Like many people have noticed, it's actually quite easy for even a bad reader such as myself to interpolate at 900 words per minute. In some ways it's actually easier to process. That last bit might just be my ADHD talking lmao

Level 5-7: need to focus more
Level 8-9: some words fall out but I get the general understanding of what it is trying to say so I'm still capable
Level 10: my limit, I cant. I only grasp certain words like "If you can you are lying, you are superhuman" etc. without being able to put together the full text perfectly

Level 1: Everyone should be able to pass this level very easily. You would have to be extremely bad at reading to fail this very easy level.
Level 2: Once again, every single person should be able to read this comfortably and easily. Most casual conversations are spoken at around this speed, so reading at this speed should be easy.
Level 3: Again, most people should be capable of reading at this speed, however, some may start to struggle. The average person reads non technical material such as fictional novels at this speed.
Level 4: Most should get past this without any problems, but you may find yourself struggling to keep up with some of the longer words at this speed; for example, try and keep up with this: I am already familiar and cognizant with the pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis related factually correct information you have provided to me. Did you keep up with those long words? I bet you couldn't read that long word: pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis.
Level 5: Many people will start to struggle at this speed; this speed is faster than the average speed that an auctioneer speaks at during an auction. You have very good reading skills if you manage to read this without struggling to keep up with the words. If you pass this level, Your speed reading skills are much higher than the average reader. Congratulations reader, you are an advanced reader.
Level 6: Reading at very high speeds such as this is an important and useful skill to have as the skill helps to reduce the the time spent on reading and understanding texts. This skill is especially important skill to have for those who read large amounts each day, such as students, authors, and editors. Perhaps the most important reason why speed reading is such a useful skill is that it allows readers to read more in a shorter time and it boosts reading efficiency.
Level 7: Most of you will not be able to read this simply because this text is zooming from here to there too fast! If you can read this, WOW! Have you ever won an award for speed reading? I'm impressed! Can you actually clearly see what this says? Well done!
Level 8: Only the best of the greatest readers will be able to successfully read and comprehend the text in this near impossible level. If you are actually able to read and understand this, you are the best of the best of the advanced readers. I personally believe that those who pass this level are blessed. Seriously, you are blessed with the strongest of the strongest reading powers! You have a reading superpower!
Level 9: This speed is simply too fast for you, me, and almost everyone else who is watching this video to see, read, understand, and fully comprehend. In fact, if you are reading this, right now, you are a superhuman! No way! I don't think anybody can read this anyway though. Only superhumans can read this ridiculously fast text!

lvl 10 was actually easy, its just that when reading a book i have to move my eyes instead of keep them in the same place which slows me down
@An Axolotl This would be so helpful, especially if you could edit the wpm to a comfortable (or uncomfortable) speed, because lvl10 proves how easy 900wpm can be when you don't have to concentrate on not losing your spot. It could be easier to blank out though.

Fun Fact: I completed this with slowing down the video to the limit, and I'm proud of myself. Now to try levels 11 to 15. If I ever get sent to an island, I will probably call it the isle of Wizzle.

The words in level 10 may be too fast for my eyes to register each word, but seeing snippets of each word allows me to piece together a sentence. Reading fast may be good but I usually have the problem of re-reading because I lose my positioning

@@familyhebrant1393 No, your brain filled in the words to the sentence; that's how it works for 9 and 10. At that point, it's just being able to fill in the blanks, which is basically what your brain does for your environment 24/7.

Now this is what is interesting, due to the brain's ability to comprehend certain scentences without all of the owrds, or even words I was able to comprehend what was in level 10 without being able to read it, in fact around level 7 is where I stopped reading every single word but was still able to comprehend levels 8 and 9 fairly easily.

I stopped being able to tongue read at level 7, which is how I usually read. I got to level 9 by just using my brain, first reading the text then only understanding it a little bit after.
I didn’t catch every word of 9 and 10, but I was able to get the general message of the text very well. 8 and below weren’t really a struggle.

I was able to comprehend what was said on every level. Notice I said “comprehend.” I probably missed some words on level 10, but I understood what was being said. It may have helped that I read novels a lot, and I’ve been reading since a younger age than most people.

Well as someone who always watches anime In Sub and dub it's very easy there is nothing special about it u only need average reading skills and if u struggled at first . Then I am guessing English is not ur first Language .
My brain can't record all of the words but can fill the gaps and comprehend it.
I made it to level 8 pretty comfortably. by level 9 it was a little weirder. I could interpret most all of the words, and at 10, I was basically picking up most of the words of the sentences and filling in the rest.

Level 10 is easy when a test is 5 mins away
Frrrr!!! ESPECIALLY IN COMPREHENSION! I just skim through a comprehension and understand what the story is abt. Then I just take abt 30 seconds on the question to kinda understand it and just look for the part lol. Do the comprehension then the creative writing. Then I just check my paper and do the questions I skipped through for the time being. And when the teacher is asking students for a paper, I write some other thing of the chapter the question came for and quickly write the whole summary of the chapter and hopefully get at least 1 mark out of 3 lol. And if it's a T or F, I choose a random and for circle the correct answer, I just circle a random one😂
But mostly I have a lot of time when a paper ends except math but later on I'm SURE I'll struggle a lot. Thankfully I can read a bit faster and write faster and still look readable and kinda nice lol, even though my handwriting is the worst in my class for girls😂

I believe the reason why most people, similarly to me, are able to comprehend these is not because they actually read that fast. I'll admit I am fairly good at reading, but I think it's that I (and most others) can just focus on reading/understanding the words rather than trying to zoom over each line back and forth, so they can see faster speeds.
This and what is also very very important is that all the words are on the same place of the screen so we don't have to move our eyes. In speed reading challenges like this where you can just sort of stare at a certain point you are significantly faster than if you had to read a normal text left to right.
its funny because the last level is literally Impossible you dont miss a word, because Its more than 15 words per seconds, thaths half of our vision perception, but at this speed the pictures Go so fast thath you cant remember what you saw, but incredible some ppl can pass thath, theres a Guy whith a rare disease thath can read at 1550, its incredible.

Level 10 is definitely not impossible. At L10, I couldn't say the words in my head, but my brain was definitely processing what each word was as I was able to comprehend the entire sentence.

@pravoon-blox I think anyone in academia should be able to read at level 10 and beyond. Scanning through countless research papers really helps. The topic of that sentence wasn't comprehensive, so it was easy to process the abstracted words and fill in with context.

Side note, most people who speed read do not read one word at a time and would still have to slow down slightly with unfamiliar words like the ridiculously long one. However, they would still be able to read it quickly because most speed readers read the line they are on but percieve the words after the word they are on as well as the following line so thier brain is already picking the sentances apart before they even reach it

@Zsaitisl Usually most German cars are electronically limited to 250. After that come the supercars which go over 300, and it's not that scary considering the roads are pretty straight, wide and of great quality (no potholes and such.) Having experienced the Autobahn a few times in my life, I have to say that it might be an experience if you're coming as a tourist and wanna really drive fast without any consequences for the first time in your life but if you live here or at least close to here you get used to it pretty quickly.

Reading on a screen (your computer, phone, etc) and not having to move your eyes around (or example follow a line with your eyes as you read) increases your reading speed! Chances are your reading speed is a little slower than the level you feel most comfortable at here. :)
