Both the opening and closing themes were re-worked for season 3. Whereas the end credits for seasons 1-2 began straight at the main melody, season 3's closing theme had a drum fill before the main melody, which was edited in various places. To clarify, season 3's end credit theme, after this drum fill, starts at "COME AND KNOCK ON OUR DOOR..." but then jumps to "WHERE THE KISSES ARE HERS AND HERS AND HIS, THREE'S COMPANY, TOO" and eliminates the pause before "YOU'LL SEE THAT LIFE IS A BALL AGAIN, LAUGHTER IS CALLING FOR YOU" before finishing out.
Yup 👍🏻 because they thought that she wouldn't be so noticeable in the credits plus the producers didn't want to spend the extra money required to refilm the scene with Suzanne.
CMT in Canada airs reruns of this series...I think every episode ended with the D.L. Taffner Syndication Sales text-only logo (like the one you see at the 0:21 mark)! CMT stood for Country Music Television, but has been reformatted to mean "Comedy and Movie Television"!
Did you know that the U.S. CMT network, when it first went on the air March 5, 1983, was originally known as CMTV? A few months later, MTV threatened to sue CMTV's owners, and they responded by dropping the "V" from "CMTV," becoming "CMT." Either way, it meant "Country Music Television."
Tonight at 11:00 after The 10 O'Clock News, Judd Hirsch has your ride in Taxi. Then at 11:30, Telly Savalus is a tough talking, smooth talkin, lollipop loving detective in Kojak. The best in late night entertainment is right here on Ch 5. WNEW New York

Thank you for posting this! It's the rarest closing credits in the show's history.
From season 3, episode 10: "The Crush" (aired November 21, 1978). Lauri Hendler was only 13 years old at the time!
that is not Suzanne Summers, but the first girl who did the pilot.
That somers when they did the original pilot that wasn't the theme
Susan Lanier was her name
