I bought this utility trailer for just $200 and challenged myself to build a trailer that was beautiful, functional, and cheap enough to build. With the help of a bit of new material, and a lot of reused scavenged material, I will turn it into a luxurious solo micro RV camper. The camper can probably sleep two, but just barely, if another section was added.
The Jackery 1500 Explorer Portable Power Station: shareasale.com...
    Jackery Solar Panels shareasale.com...
We also outfitted the camper with a Cubic Mini Wood Stove: cubicminiwoods...
The flooring was from Bigelow Flooring: bigelowfloorin...
We used as many salvaged materials as we could, from the parted out garage door sections for the frame, to the windows from an old camper RV we took apart last year. The trim was from an old house we renovated.
The wall sections, trim, and siding are all mechanically fastened with nails or screws and glued with construction adhesive to make sure they don't loosen up when the trailer is hauled on the road.
We added lots of extra features like an outdoor cook station that drops down, interior storage in open wood containers, drop down desk and fold up Murphy bed to free up interior space. The camper is outfitted with interior and exterior lighting, hook spots for cookwear and clothing.

"Self-Reliance" is an 1841 essay written by American transcendentalist philosopher and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson. It contains the most thorough statement of one of Emerson's recurrent themes: the need for each individual to avoid conformity and false consistency, and follow his own instincts and ideas. This channel will approach self reliance from a modern perspective. and will focus on various build projects using modern amenities, and tools to build a completely self reliant lifestyle.

This book ruclips.net/user/postUgkxT9ExVpR-3A-9rpRqx8vzXKZ3BMMTg_KH does have a lot of great information on the building of sheds, design ideas, building options, etc. The author goes through the steps to build a foundation, framing, roof, even ideas on internal storage and external finishes. The text is easy to follow and understand. There are many sidebars that give tips and advice which most laymen probably wouldn't have considered. The photographs are great quality too. This is a great book and I'd recommend it highly for anyone needing or interested in building a shed.

A nice “throne” can be made from a folding lawn chair. Remove the ribbons from the seat, and fasten on a piece of plywood in their place. A hole in the plywood, and a toilet seat facilitates the “sitting and thinking” part. Place your lined 5 gallon pail under the chair. A roll of TP in a coffee can completes the outfit.

Would be good to make a small mini-deck (something like a pallet) as a floor for the shower -- so you aren't standing in the mud after running the water.

I love that you just do stuff. No plans? No problem! You just get out there and see what works! If it breaks you'll fix it, but if it works then you just built something amazing! Much love, my man!

Your build is far more superior from the start. . . But Zach's time with his daughter in his build is priceless!
His improvement still didn't match up to yours. . . It's also Sasquatch/Bigfoot proof compared to his 😄

Carbon dioxide monitor should be down near the floor. It's heavier than air.

Carbon dioxide is a small part of the air we breathe and heavier than oxygen. The detector is for carbon monoxide which is lighter than air. Thank you for that nugget because I enjoyed the research part. Took me a while to clock u were talking about dioxide. My reading needs a detector!

off topic, but, speaking of showers, I have an indoor and outdoor, I prefer outdoors during warm weather, don't ask me why- I haven't a clue. Probably because it cuts down on cleaning the indoor shower

just use a pool noodle around the rim of the bucket instead of the seat

I was thinking put the pool noodle on the bucket and then connect the toilet seat to the pool noodle so you could have a lid on it for multiple day compost toilet type application.

Delight! Your the Shakespeare of precision / inventive carpentry, the David Cooperfield of mystifying multi-purposing and the CS Lewis of understated unassuming humour! In a word, delightful! I'm sure there's a more masculine word form which expresses my sentiments but off the top of my head, there you have it! Thanks for this! Love it!

LOVE this build!!! Already voted YOU WIN on Part 1 but YOU WIN easily for Part 2. You could just about live anywhere for quite awhile if you picked spot with open southern sun access and about 4 solar panels to keep topping off the Jackery 1500. Few fishing rods, lures bait for fish and bow / arrows, slingshot for wild game :) I wonder if garage door installing companies have extra panels lying around because it seems like the best wall material to use since it has aluminum outer cladding and built in foam insulation.
