A real array of motive power - the Standard 2-6-0 at the end achieved a good running start. Probably an experienced driver.
Great footage and the music as well 👍
Thanks 👍
Fabulous ! The Lickey was the one place I never got to !
One of my brother's favourite spotting places before I was born in Coventry. They lived in Hollywood not too far away by pushbike.
He also said that he had the occasional footplate ride at the original New Street when locos were running round their train or shunting coaches.
Good mixture there John, much appreciated.
Glad you enjoyed it
Not seen this before, superb footage.
Thanks
Another excellent video from you, thank you for sharing 😊

Brilliant! Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Very good!
Thanks!
Nice mixture of motive power, surprised to see Westerns on the bank.
Us too!
Suitable music as an elegy for a vanished world. These proud machines were heading for scrap and they were taking generations with them; a way of life, not perfect by any means but not as bad as has been made out, was about to disappear. A new creed alien to British sensibilities was soon to manifest itself in British political life. There will always be change but not all of it is for the good. I find the rather maudlin musical accompaniment to this film very apt and moving and appropriate.

Lovely film, terrible music. I turn it down and play generic steam sounds or ambient music.
That's the way to do it!
