I truly love these videos. But I really wish you would show some of the day to day maintenance. How much lighting are you using, CO2 levels, chemical dosing etc...
I dream the day I can call up the Green Machine and order my complete system I love the Findley aquariums and could live in that shop and just be surrounded by all those aquariums. You guys make it easy for us to create works of art by taking all the trouble out of the equasion I pick a size I want and you guys recomend and put together a system that will work. follow the steps and set up your premium equipment. What an awesome place! I hope to get one of these within the next year or so.
Great video! I love aquariums that use real plants and seeing them get made from start to finish is really interesting. I think I've watched each one twice, even the longer ones. I also like Mr. Findley's style of more minimal / simplicity versus other's highly detailed and super-controlled aquascapes that are a bit too flashy and violent for my tastes.
Your aquascapes are my favorite. To be honest, I think you are very creative and innovative. I also think you're a lot more original than Takashi Amano. I think you have good technique.
Wow! Amazing work. I'm going to set up a nice new betta tank like this in a week or so. I've never done an aquascape so technically perfect and natural looking. My Tico betta will be so happy! :)
For the fish you have, they seem to actually be a mix of different rasboras in the genus boraras, one is definently urapthalmoides, and not one is a brigittae, however they should all get along fine and the scape is definently stunning!
We have already done this... here is a small one using products form our Exceptional Value Range - designed to keep costs low... Nature Aquarium Step-by-step by James Findley
You can use vermicompost. I use it my planted aquarium, but you have to wet the compost properly before adding water as initially the compost is hydrophobic i.e. doesn't like water. Once it has absorbed water nicely it is a perfect substrate. I put a layed of sand on the top of it.
Those snails look like the kind that hitch a free ride to your aquarium on a LFS plant. Do they ever become a problem in the Green Machine aquariums? Those little guys breed like crazy!
That is beautiful! Doesn't the minerals in the soil and additives pollute the water for the animals and how would one vacuum that substrate with out mixing everything together and depleting the additives? How do you avoid algal blooms with all of that lighting before the tank is established?
Just looks amazing...I got it that the co2 is kept on for 2hrs before the lights are switched on and 2hr before they are turned off...I'm a newb to all of this... and getting my 20ltr tank tomorrow...I wanter to know for how long do u keep the lights on for the tank and the importance of the same. thankyou, once again an amazing scape by the green machine.
I have an experience of the moss attaching to the other plants and "choking" them. How isn't it the case here, after 8 months? Did you constantly trim it and remove it from plants?
such a beautiful aquascape and as always the Step by Step video its so great, i hope one day i could go to your store. And by the way i just wanted to ask if you supply O2 during night? or is it not necessary thanks TheGreenMachineLtd and congratulations of course James Findley , you guys never let me down =D
Looks great! What kind of water do you use for these aquariums? Is it tap or RO water? How hard (in GH and KH) is your water used for water changes? And how hard is you aquarium's water stay in final (same in GH and KH)? Appreciated for the advising :)) REPLY
Hi, I absolutely love your work! I have been browsing through your website as I am considering setting up tank similar to one in this video. But I have noticed many of the tanks do not have a heater in them. I thought all freshwater aquariums needed one? Am I just missing something? Or are you selecting plants and fish that can survive on room temperature? I would definitely love to have some sort of external heater so the glass filter and co2 pipes are the only equpement in the tank!
This tank is beautiful but can you show how to take care of them I tried doing a planted tank and it was really bad the plants got all mushy so I changed to plastic

It is fun to watch artists at work.
Thank you James & Greenmachine, because of you guys, I started this beautiful hobby!
I enjoy seeing the smaller tanks that are possible for the beginner.
I love that you show the water introduction. I find it especially pleasing for some reason.
I love the music in these videos as much, if not more, than watching the building of the aquarium.
Any adjectives will be unsuitable to describe this outstanding piece of art.. hats off
James must have been a surgeon in a past life with such steady hands! Excellent touch with the sand flattener, thank you so much for the content!
Awaeken James was a surgeon. How did you know?
it's always great to see someone who is doing what they love, and have found a way to make a living at it. awesome stuff. cheers!
I love how detailed these videos are .. I just wish they posted more frequently.
Jonathan H 24 hours between every move! Pay attention! Don't disrespect James!
I don't know whether is age or something I find this really soothing
Using substrate support is clever way to avoid the substrate from collapse, really love the idea

this is what an artist can do

James is the original BAMF! Haha. Awesome work as always.

i cant believe how nice that is in such a small tank
This is so relaxing to watch.
Your aquascapes are my favorite. To be honest, I think you are very creative and innovative. I also think you're a lot more original than Takashi Amano. I think you have good technique.

Beautiful as always

Stunning.
Absolutely beautiful!! Would love to see a sand waterfall included in future nature aquarium videos.
Wow! Amazing work. I'm going to set up a nice new betta tank like this in a week or so. I've never done an aquascape so technically perfect and natural looking. My Tico betta will be so happy! :)
Very well thought video.... Easy to understand!!!
Looks great as always! I hope i can affort this one day. Right now, low tech planted for me.
For the fish you have, they seem to actually be a mix of different rasboras in the genus boraras, one is definently urapthalmoides, and not one is a brigittae, however they should all get along fine and the scape is definently stunning!
Whats the bet "James" is also the narrator and loves referring to himself in the 3rd person
Fucked up 😂
That's what I was think right now.
I exactly think the same and it might be true, who knows!
Same, Jesus.
Thanks for making these videos. Look forward to receiving my hardcopy of your book :)
awesome build
Amazing tank!
Man that's a beautiful aquarium
I enjoy watching the videos you post but it's always ADA and very expensive.,, can James do a budget aquarium would enjoy see it??
We have already done this... here is a small one using products form our Exceptional Value Range - designed to keep costs low... Nature Aquarium Step-by-step by James Findley
It's still using overpriced ADA stuff. Just less of it.
Chad Ashton simply ADA is the best
no

very nice and natural!!!!
Awesome video guys, looks great at the end.
Inspiring - again! I wish you would upload an aquascape video every week.
Those snails look like the kind that hitch a free ride to your aquarium on a LFS plant. Do they ever become a problem in the Green Machine aquariums? Those little guys breed like crazy!
Very nice fish tank 👍
never ceases to amaze!
Ok fine I subscribe.... I've watched too many of these videos to deny any longer. love it
One word: Amazing xO I'm jealous. I wish to make my aquarium like this someday.
wow, this is just gorgeous!
I love ADA .you impressed me james
I love all the designs.
I don't like how he speaks about himself in the 3rd person all the time.
巨人の肩 how do you know the narrator is james
Informative. Very useful. Thank you for sharing.
That is beautiful!
Doesn't the minerals in the soil and additives pollute the water for the animals and how would one vacuum that substrate with out mixing everything together and depleting the additives? How do you avoid algal blooms with all of that lighting before the tank is established?
Love GM scapes also thank you for including the info about the tech CO2/Filter etc. :D
Amazing aquarium, amazonic is so beautifull!!!
one of my favorite aquascapes. definitely inspired my own pictured aquascape as well. would love feedback from the pros. cheers.
Fantastic!!!!
Amazing aquascaping
James is a genius
impressive.. very impressive indeed
How do you learn to start aquascaping???
Signed, someone that is already obsessed
r.i.p. takashi amano
that was random
Takashi Amano, born July 18, 1954 - August 4, 2015 was a photographer, designer and aquarist. His work was legendary and he will be missed.
You research the technical care stuff... then buy tank, buy plants and experiment
By buying everything from their website.
Looks great
Well done james...👌💖
I really like the scape!
As always, great vid and beautiful layout
Spectacular !!!
Very nice scape!
Amazing Videos!!!
Start with 7-8 hours and add/subtract from there. Every tank is going to be different so just play around with it until something works for you.
So nice I just love this😍😍😘😘
This scape always reminds me of "Red Rock"
good night, those black or green plates buried in the substrate, which are I would like to know , very good teacher aquariums
AMAZING
Beautiful!
Very nice!!
Amazing😍😍😍
Este senhor tem dom simplesmente.... fabuloso
I have an experience of the moss attaching to the other plants and "choking" them. How isn't it the case here, after 8 months? Did you constantly trim it and remove it from plants?

thanks TheGreenMachineLtd and congratulations of course James Findley , you guys never let me down =D
Great work !!!!
It would be nice to know the approximate cost of the whole project.
They have that in the bio, but be warned they're using ADA stuff which is stupidly expensive.. lighting is 500$ for example..
that very nice tiangular composition.
Looks great ..tops
Wonderfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i would kill for James's job
Hello! The aquascape is so fantastic! I wonder how many liters of the soil did you use in this case?
stunning !!
I love this channel and love the tanks. It has inspired me to create something like this. But is there a better way to hide the pipes?
Looks great! What kind of water do you use for these aquariums? Is it tap or RO water? How hard (in GH and KH) is your water used for water changes? And how hard is you aquarium's water stay in final (same in GH and KH)? Appreciated for the advising :))
