Yes, the ATH-G1 definately stood out, but it wasn't good enough to beat the PC38X or the H6Pro. I would add the EPOS H3 to the #3 spot along side the Audio-Technica ATH-G1. A person could then pick which headset fit them best and/or which style they liked more. The ATH-G1 is larger than the H3.
in headphones it is.... Sennheiser he-1. i feel none should really be over $600 why should my headphones cost more than my speakers, especially when most are made out of (trash) plastic
They sound great, in music, for the price. I do all my music listening with my Pro 82s. They’re very good for FPS, but not great like they H6PRO or PC38X.

I wish I could answer your question, but I don't own the ATH-G1 anymore, so I can't compare it to my Pro 82's for music and game playing. If I would have to guess, based on my memory of them, I would think the ATH-G1 would be the better choice - if you intened to use it for both gaming and music listen.
I felt the sound performance was equal. I have the GSP 302 sitting on my desk as I type this. I just did a second review of it yesterday. When I was testing it, I was thinking to myself, 'This sounds like the H3, or at least very similar.'
