Thanks to your video I made out my mind and went and buy this camera. It was the right choice, this baby is mazing ! thanks for the great info ! Subscribed !
@@lensprotogo Thx, I have been eyeballing the E2 series for a while but there is not much footage out there, hopefully you can change that. The mode I personally am interested in is the 4k Low noise setting. Loved this vid of yours "ZCam E2C FOOTAGE - Low light and Exposure recovery" Take care.
I have experience with the E2C, and I've personally found some weirdness in dark areas of the image (making low-light/high contrast shots rather difficult). It's a sort of ghosting, almost as if the dark parts take longer to process than the bright parts. It's completely absent when the image is exposed brightly, but it can really smear hair and other high contrast objects. I haven't seen anyone else do an analysis on this yet, so perhaps you could be the first and touch on it?
Are you sure about that COM port at 2:22 ? Because manual states it's COMmuniation RS232 port not COMponent so it's used only for controlling the camera from remote station?
I want to know more about com port. Is it really possible to geat sdi signal through it? Where can I get such com port break up cable? (2:22) Tried to google it, but no results.
It has major issue with WiFi screen view via iPhone. It never connects and I thought my unit was defective but it seems a lot of other users has same problem.
@@allenpayne9182 So would you use the black magic for simple corporate work and talking heads? I know my friend with the 6k and a canon eos prefers the black magic for shorts and canon for corporate stuff. Im not sure if thats the file size, ease of use, autofocus or what. I dont see why the black magic wouldnt be great for 4k non raw footage for corporate stuff. as long as you have a big battery on the back.
I thought that, based on the title of your video, you would have covered the equipment needed to get it up and running. Are you saying that all this needs out the box is a lens and an SD card?
Yup that's all you need! I'm going to do another video building it out for a full cinema rig but to shoot all you need is the camera, a lens, battery and memory card.
I have just bought this camera, if I change the encoder to H.264, the next time I start the camera it has changed back to H.265, is this normal behaviour, I can save a personal profile but it means loading this every time I start the camera, thanks, Rob.
...so you have a e2 and no user manual? WTF does your question mean. If you don't know how to stick a card into the computer and copy the files over, then you should definitely not use professional film equipment... BTW... the e2 uses CFAST 2.0 Cards, you you'll need an adapter for pc. Here are some infos about the e2 www.z-cam.com/e2/
Great review. So ProRes is not an option even if using an external drive? I would think that would be fast enough given the large population of users doing this with the E2 model.
It pretty good but with the color, it is extremely warm looking to fix that you just have to set your white balance cooler than you would think for daylight I had to set it to 4700k to get the right color. I'm going to talk more about this an in an upcoming video.
I can't wait to get one for my work! It will be huge upgrade from old canon dslr :) Thank you for this review!

@@chok1169 because it is expensive as hell
Thank you for this review, do more videos on this if you can. Some footage would be great. Thumbs up.
I should be getting the E2 soon and will do some side by side tests and more footage

Nice quick review. Astonishing value for money. Great formfactor. Very gimbal friendly

So you were able to film RAW to the SSD with the E2c or did you have to use a Ninja V?
Seems there no reviews that cover the functionality of the Ethernet and if it can stream 4k30 or file transfer from either sd or ssd
Thanks for this. I saw a feature that can live stream with a phone connected via USB-C on Lok's video. Could you give some more info on this

Interesting. Very interesting.
Can you mount a monitor on the side of the zcame2c?
looks so fun to use. I wonder if its better than the black magic 4k or 6k:/
Yeah markus hit it on the head

Can we have a comparison video, e2c vs Z50 vs M50
HDMI max resolution?
SWEET!

zraw update is available for e2c...
How good is the outo focus?
Would you say this is an
amateur camera but can be use for wedding video freelancer?
Can this camera take a photo?
Hello: would you be able to provide the file size of 30 FPS with Z cam e2c camera at its highest quality setting per minute?
Anyone test the HDMI Out Latency? Is it low enough for IMAG?
What about raw?

What your favorite lens for this cam?
I heard someone say that you can shoot prores with the E2C but only via USB-C.
That is correct

osric70 maybe it may work if you use the SSD to record
Proress and zraw recording is available if you record to a ssd
Looks like that craft camera that failed a couple years ago
I have the E2- how does the E2C footage compare to a Panasonic G85?
I have not used the G85 so I wouldn't be able to say.
"shooting for facebook or instagram"
haha your're funny
How's the video quality compare to Sony and Canon cameras
