In your E2 flagship review, can you talk about how the E2 would color match with the E2C? It seems like the E2C could be a good b camera to the E2 line.
I have been looking into reviews of this model for 5 months. Price has gone up a little bit but what stopped me from buying was that the salesperson at the local camera store told me that they are waiting for ginepig like me to give feedback to them.
We have sold a good few of them and hundreds of E2's, there are also loads of happy creatives using them, just check out the 10000 strong facebook group :D
I, too agree that this cam is not a web cam replacement and streaming camera is an overused term lately. In reality, how many big streamers out there look into getting a camera upgrade? For small streamers there are so many more important things to worry about than getting a more capable camera.
Great video, I'm really toying with getting a zcam or a blackmagic camera, but tbh I really don't actually need one ATM. And Oooh baby, those headshots. I need to give Valorant a go!
Thanks! Both have unique pro's and con's so it depends on what's most important for you. The main big pro for the pocket is BRAW. I would say pretty much everything else is better on the E2 series. And haha thanks, yeah it's worth giving a go, it's like if Overwatch & CS had a baby.
Hello, I am curious regarding the "Gigabit Ethernet for data" feature. Does this allow the user to dump the recording strait to their computer drive? Or is this something completely different?
Hi, I am using ZCAM E2C for the first time. I would like to ask why my ZCAM E2C is always in EV 2.0 status, is this a bug? If not, how can I customize it?
I tried cant change any of my camera's settings through the stream converter. It's all grayed out. I can do a live preview of the zcam e2 from the software, but that's about it. Everything else is locked out. If anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. Also thank you for this tutorial! I've had my zcam sitting on my shelf for months now and I'm glad I can start using it again for streaming
Hi, I looking for reference video for zcam e2 using the LAN record cause I'm planning buy zcam for a webinaror pre recorded needs. Will you help me make this reference video? Thank you
@@CVPTV Thanks a lot for the confirmation. Btw just one last question about your video, you say it can be powered by Battery or the DC input, via the battery or going for battery dummy adapter (Canon AC-E6N + DR-E6), the ac adapter Output Power 7.6V, now going by your recommendation on you use a MEANWELL GS60A12-P1J which is a 12V, so just wondering about this 7.6v vs 12v?
@@CVPTV hello. how do i get ac power to the dtap? would the mean well power adapter above be what i am looking for? or do i need to pay 3x more for a shieldrock adaptor?
Presumably, although you added to OBS as a Video Capture source, it's a standard NDI implementation in the camera, so could be added in as an NDI source, in other apps as well, such as vMix?
To be exact, the camera itself does have NDI but Z CAMs own SSP protocol. The Z CAM StreamConverter software then converts SSP to NDI or virtual camera. There's also third party obs-ssp beta plugin which allows connecting the camera directly to OBS.
You're selling me on this hardcore. Haha! I'm curious to see if and when Resolve will add the Z Cam color space and gamma options for the Color Space Transform. You did mention converting it to RED Log, in which case, would it be feasible to use CST from that point?
Hahaha I'm not trying to I promise! You can colour space transform within their ZLOG colour plugin to a range of profiles the two handiest being LOGC & LOG3G10. You can download it and have a look! You could then CST on the next node! Thanks for checking out the vid man.
Ok....but why 4k for a webcam setup? That has never made sense to me. Just get yourself an older Canon DSLR like a t3i, load up magic lantern, use the kit 18-55mm lens and the camera's hdmi output...then use a cheap elgato hdmi capture card. Sure the video will be 1080P 30FPS....but your using it as a WEBCAM. Or hell, get a cheap used mirrorless camera. What I'm saying is, its a webcam and you don't need to dump a crap-ton of money into it as no one will tell the difference.
you dont even need a capture card, you can output most canon DSLR image live to pc via usb cable and canon live preview software. then use a simple screen capture software to turn that part of your screen into a live video feed. voila.
CVP I know it can be used for much more, but if anyone gets it just for a webcam, it's a waste of money. If anyone uses it for more than that, it's cool :-)
@@CVPTV It's $500 for a single 720p capture. Better off with an UltraStudio Recorder 3G $115 which will do up to 1080p60, DeckLink Duo 2 $495 with four inputs at 1080p60, or even DeckLink 8K Pro $645 with four inputs at 8k.
I can't even focus on the review because your video quality is godly. My eye's can't take this clear clean quality.
This is such a valuable video! No words man! A lot of work and attention to detail. Thank you!
Thank you for watching and the kind words!

I’m thinking the same!

great video!!! I'm a zcam fan, own a bunch of them and don't regret it!
Thanks and good to hear!!
Dude, it would be perfect for podcast setup. Nice vid, mate.
It would indeed!
Excellent Work Jake👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

I mean they could use their phone's camera which will be better than most webcam
Great vid tx
You recommend to capture in zlog, grade in resolve, then import into obs. How do import into obs from resolve though?

Thanks for the video. for some reason I cant get the steam of myself fullscreen for discord chats

Hey mate, what’s the resolution over Ethernet ?
I love this camera I use it more than my Sony A7R3
Glad to hear you're enjoying it! Jake
thank you ! :)
No worries :) Jake

Hello! I can use another software to edit video from this camera? I'm not using Premiere and i'm not very familiar with. Thanks.
so quick question, can I use this camera as a webcam camera WITHOUT using the "ssp->OBS Virtual Camera" way ? or is there no other option?
Hey,
how well does this camera match to the E2? Thinking about picking up E2c as a b camera for E2
can a laptop/desktop control the camera during production shooting?(Not Live streaming) instead of phone?
Jesus, Micro 4/3s is not going away anytime soon

How do you set up the 4 different framing crops with stream converter? or is it just on ipad app
How many Z cams could I run in a network in 4k resolution and how long can be the cat cables?

Oh I forget, and how to integrate zcam with vmix
How bad is the rolling shutter?
NICE.
THANKS!
Can the Z CAM E2C output clean HDMI to grab it via Capture card (magewell/ElGato/Avermedia)?
Yes it can and so will be able to output ProRes RAW as well!

I would say to get the PSU over using Dummy.
You can use POE tooooo

🤔 i think is time to upgrade my e2c
Would you recommend the ZCAM m4 or the Sony a7 iii?
Is autofocus important to you?
This is great! It looks like you can support multiple cameras too. Is this correct? What is the delay like?
I haven't tried it with multiple cameras but the delay into OBS is pretty minimal!

You can also use the Arri Alexa color space transform in Resolve, as both are really close.
@@OlivierOzoux For Z Log? I mean, modeling your color science after Arri is probably the best way to go. Haha! That's good to know though.
Can resolve export png luts?
no mention of e2-m4?
That wasn't released when we published this video!! You can see our M4 video here - ruclips.net/video/8wlR-fcebfQ/видео.html
What are you using to mount the camera like a webcam?
Elgato Multi Mount.
Would these work well streaming 150 feet away for a church?
Yes you could, the setup would depend on the exact distances and runs you would need to do. Jake
