So I decided to edit my favorite character in 13 reasons why. We’ve seen Clay slowly getting worse since season 1. He has such a big heart and he tries to always do the right thing and be there for everyone. I hate how he’s been there for everyone but people are rarely there for him.

I really feel so sorry for him....He never did anything wrong but he suffered the most. He helped everyone whenever they needed yet no one noticed his pain and how much he was going through and all this only because he had a kind heart and a caring soul. He lost his best friend, his lover and his brother yet he kept fighting. Clay deserves more, it's too cruel for him. His love for Hannah was so pure and he cared for Justin so much ......but no one tried to notice his suffering and cared for him the way he did for them.......He deserves a happy life more than anyone
Jeff and Justin noticed what he did for them, but they havent had luck.. He cannot save them.
Justin noticed and did try to help him, but Clay acted horrible towards Justin every time he tried to help

This is so true , i know justin tried to help him sometimes and he rejected his help but that was because he wanted to be strong for everyone . He said it himself : he feels responsible for others.
I think it’s just that part of us that refuse help, especially when we are always looking out for others, sometimes we forget that we too need help, and because of that, that part of us refuse or reject help. We don’t even recognize it when others are trying to help us.
He literally deserves so much better im gonna cry

I normally don’t cry over TV shows, but seeing Justin die really pulled the tears out of my eyes. We saw him go from a misguided junkie to homeless to Clay’s brother to an amazing person. I guess there’s no way running from your past; it always comes back to bite you. And Saddest part is he died not long after his mother.

Literally, and it pisses me off when some people call him selfish. I'm like bitch what? he threw himself infront of a loaded gun to save everyone, instead of reporting Tyler, nursed him back to health. He did the same thing with Justin at his worst when he was a literal prostitute/drug addict. He hurt and inconvienced himself CONSTANTLY for people he wasn't even that cool with at first like Justin, and people want to call him selfish? im like did you watch the same show?
Everyone always says he’s really annoying but really he was just suffering and didn’t know why he was acting weird. Deserved so much better.

This guy is crazy talented... the way he channelled the brokenness of a human being, the way he displayed pain, anxiety, rage and dissociation. Wow so blown away
Clay was really hurt the fianl season, i feel so bad for my baby....everything's gonna be okay😢

It's a testament to how strong he is and how good his foundations and family are, because what he went through he should have been in a mental hospital by now especially since he was showing signs of deep depression on a level that hannah never did

@NF is the king of real music NF fan I am planning to do this. I'm writing a tv show and nf's song literally describe the entire characters and what they want and need and what they are scared of.
So sad that he lost the 3 people he really cared about and they cared about him. Justin went from his enemy to his brother and now he is gone. Clay is so strong to deal with depression and anxiety and he still made it to graduation. R.i.p to Hannah,Jeff, and Justin

It kinda sucks that she only appeared from the same part in season 1. I thought she was actually going to be in it
He tried his best to always be there for his friends but jo one was there for him and because of that he suffered inside and still kept fighting hes the strongest character in a series I've seen! Unlike everyone else who went through physical things clay didnt show his suffering on the outside but on the inside he was broken and released it on season 4. Dylan deserves many awards for his performance in season 4 cos honestly the acting is outstanding

Clay Jensen has suffered more than a teenager could possibly imagine. You would think that a normal teenager who’s looking forward to going out on his or her own in the world will just have to worry about schoolwork, prom, graduation, and ultimately going to college. But Clay had to endure the trials tribulations grief and sorrows that came with high school. All those tragedies kept weighing on him and he had to figure out how to stay alive and help his friends. He regret not knowing what fully happened with Jeff, being afraid to love Hannah even though both of their feelings were mutual, and losing Justin hurt just as much if not more. Clay Jensen does indeed deserve a happy ending because of everything he did and all the decision he had to make even if some of them were not the best decision. He went far for his friends at the very cost of himself.
Clay represents who I was in high school. This show has been super relatable in every way and its sad but true and its exactly why we needed this show because this is most high schools these days.
I relate to Clay... loosing so many people, he was so broken and lost. And just wanted to be the hero save everyone. Dylan portrayed him perfectly...

He struggled the most this season and had the most emotional turmoil. He lost Justin, he was angry and scared. I just wanted to hug him all of season 4. 😭💔 the fact he got himself somewhat together at the end proved he’s extremely mentally strong. I’m so glad there were people that helped him throughout. 😭
This show didn't have to end with Justin dying. 💔

I hated almost everybody this season bc they treated Clay like shit. He always helped his friends no matter what, he suffered a lot for them and now they just let him down. He was clearly not well, and it was not like he was hiding it, it was so fucking obvious and yet they did nothing to help exept look at him like he was crazy. He deserves better

The part that really breaks me is that clay was always there for his friends even if they didnt need him but when clay was suffering and needed someone, no one was by his side they all just left him😭💔

I seriously cannot understand why some people hate him. To be honest- if they do, they don’t know SHIT about depression. Or grief. Or anything like that. Cause if they did, they would’ve understood him. He has a huge, strong hero complex. He feels like he needs to save everyone. Like he needs to keep everyone alive, and if he doesn’t, he suffers. Those secrets... they broke him. They fucking broke him. And all those people saying that he was annoying, that “he could’ve just told people what was going on”- are y’all fucking serious?? I think... I think I relate to him. And seeing people hating on him cause he was “annoying” made me so FUCKING mad. I blame EVERYONE, every single writer on this show cause they made him seem like a bad person and he isn’t. It is so easy to hate on someone who is broken... isn’t it?
