Wow, this one's fantastic!! I'm glad she doesn't have dramatic insight, flowing legato, and unique phrasing because I'm not disappointed at all. More singers should have taken notes from her.
Very interesting biographical data in the information scarf. I do like her more than the usual HochKoloratur. At least Korjus does the obvious HK shtick real well. Her singing is a bit impersonal, I suppose, but the clear silver of her little voice and her delicate charm are very attractive. If this record was made in Berlin, 1936 is a surprising year for Moszkowski! An elegant composer-pianist, his music should be much better known.
DO you suppose it would be difficult to find the arrangement she used with perhaps her ornaments written in? I know from looking at the original serenade for piano that she sings much of the melody and then adds a few tricks of her own. I'd like this for a coloratura soprano
....music production has changed..it is quantity, not quality...today.....if the artist cannot draw millions and make bucks fast..they are dumped, and more mud is thrown against the wall....
What an absolute delight! She never fails to bring joy to her listeners. Many thanks to the poster for providing this joyous gem.
Korjus's 78 rpm discs are such a pleasure to hear. No matter how or what she sings, security and charm are always there. Thank you, Doug, George
What a treat to hear this recording again. Thank you for sharing.
Most welcome... thank YOU!
I'm here because of "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens page 47.
I'm reading it and that's why I am here😊
I'm going to see the movie tomorrow ❤️ I loved the book. Enjoy!
So beautifull
Absolute charm...
Very birdlike..

Wonderful, love her voice.
I like this recording.
J’écoute Milisza Korjus suite à la référence dans le roman de Délia Owens « Là où chantent les écrevisses »
Thank you for posting this interesting music and biography. Looking like Mae West could have helped her box office appeal.

I've searched for this score so much! Does anyone could help me to find it? I could also buy from someone, it has to be the same key.

Does anyone have the sheet music or lyrics to this song?

👍👍👍
What fun. She enjoys singing this. I enjoy listening to her sing this. Too bad the era for this kind vocalism has passed.
