I have some of Leo’s corals in my tank. They are stunning. I live in Northern Ireland . Originally it wasn’t on Leo’s delivery area. He was happy to put it on for me. Never seen sps of such quality! Packed unbelievably well. Top guy 👍
You’re doing great work Adam. Really loved this from day one. It’s been a helpful source of information. Easy listening with quality guests. I discovered Leo through your first show. So thankyou . The network is far and wide 👌😊
Great discussion on dissolved organic carbon! Reefability will soon launch with the most advanced AI technology to help hobbyists take their reef management to the next level. By analyzing chemistry, bioload, biomass, and microbiome, Reefability provides tailored insights to optimize nutrient export and maintain a healthy, balanced reef ecosystem. Excited for what’s to come!
Congrats on the anniversary, it’s an amazing podcast with quality guest like Leo. (Who I brought multiple coral and had the chance to visit, such an amazing quality and heathy, just astonishing) . Keep the good work of sharing the great work of successful reefer.
Thanks a lot for this talk. Interesting topics with two interesting people. I will come back and listen to this a few times to really get it all. Please continue with your yearly talks, interesting topics see how it develops. And Leonardo, please arrange for you own channel. We need a European variation of Coral Euphoria. 🤭 I’ve ordered from Leo to my Stockholm-reef before and I soon need to make another order… It’s Friday today so I should have a look.😃 Thanks again
The control of DOC in a close system is easier, cleaner, safer and cheaper, in conjunction, doing water changes than utilizing the administration of activated carbon and GFO in any level. Both, in my opinion, shouldn't be used on a regular basis for maintenance. Activated carbon is a blessing to be used to control/export medicine or toxins. Water change is the king of all procedures IMO. Keep it simple, stable and efficient. Simplicity always wins in many ways. GFO was slowly aborted from the reef arsenal. It causes more chemical damages than benefits the system. Great stream, as always.
In regards to lighting... lots to comment here, but I will choose to say that real full spectrum needs to be from UV to IR, including every wavelength in between. Every metal halide has a type of the representation of full spectrum. That said, a 20K MH lamp, for example, also has all the wavelengths from UV to IR, but "less white" than a 10K lamp. They are all full spectrum! The lamp closest to the real full spectrum is then 6500K lamp, showing the right intensity distributed within the whole spectrum. The efficiency of metal halides is strongly related to that aspect of spectrum quality! LEDs lack in full spectrum qualities big time. The second best representation of full spectrum is fluorescent lamps. T5s are amazing!!!! Halide is the KING and T5 the QUEEN in the castle! Sorry, couldn't resist to give that boost to Leo. LOL!
Amazing video full of valid formation. Keep it up! Maybe I can have some more information about the flow and how his pumps were set up. Are the gyre pumps alsow jebao? Thank you !
@LeonardosReef all pumps are on W1 all the time ? I have read somewhere in the past that a constst wave it will have a negative on the tank( silicon seems) and on the stand as well because the entire water volume is moving from side to side putting some presure on the tank and stand, or maybe is just a mit and I'm paranoid 🤣.
Great video! Thank you both. Adam, how happy you are with lymata vittata shrimps in terms of cleaning the purple Bali flatworms from infected acros? Do they get the job done in your opinion? Would you recommend me building a hospital as yours and it is hit and miss and might end up being waste of time. Whats your experience with those shrimps, if you don't mind sharing. Thanks
I wonder if it has to do with the level it is trying to measure. I keep mine fairly high for an SPS dominant tank: PO4 between 0.15 and 0.20 , NO3 between 25 and 30. Where are yours?
Amaizing Adam, keep up the good job and congrats for the first year anniversary🎉 Leo is briliant, I have a dozen of acropora from him. 🪸 i think it will be nice if you can get Leo more often. Also i think it will be nice to have @Mikeymikemike on your podcast.
Great conversation. Congrats on the anniversary Adam.
thanks ma dawg

Aussie Acroporas do great for us.
Interesting! All Aussie corals, including A. kenti for instance? Any tips on keeping them happy long term?

Commenting for the algorithm 😎
hahah thanks! and that means you didn't skip the intro ;)
Jebao pumps works great, I have 4 on my tank, didn’t clean it for 2 years. Move lots of water.
they really should endorse us!
@@fraggarage5922
Are you also using Jebao in your system?
1 year 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

thank you! I beleive they are, but I'll let Leo chime in. As far as I know, every flow pump is Jebao
@fraggarage5922 thank you, maybe hi can tell me the program intensity and frequency of the pulse. 🙏
All pumps are Jebao, also the Gyres. They are set to “W1” and dialled in to the right frequency to create a wave.
@@LeonardosReef thank you 🙏

Leo dude Start your ohne RUclips Chanel ❤
would be nice to see more videos of his systems, hey? It's all FIRE
Good idea ;)
Was there a NA link shared for lower cost dosing pump consumables?

Trident NP is 1x a day test
And phosphates are inconsistent and inaccurate so far. Nitrates are spot on. Looks like Neptune has some work to do on the phosphates.
My NP has been accurate and repeatable for phosphate. When I change reagents it’s off for a couple of tests until I do a reset. So far so good
@@Reef_Ranch That's great man, hope they can get the bugs worked out for the rest of us

@@Reef_Ranch Yes, that's possible, i keep my po4 below .1 and no3 around 10
Anywhere we can find out what skimmers Leo uses?
what ozone are you using Leo?
Sander ozone unit and an Aqua Medic. Both very small (25mg).
