I learned in my cognitive science class that doodling during "boring" lectures is actually beneficial because it keeps you focused enough so you hear the information, but keeps you busy enough so you don't get distracted (as you would on your phone or social media).
I would bring a baggie of plasticine to class and sculpt while the teacher was lecturing. As I had top grades and did all my work quickly there was no complaints. The scene that would build up on my desk I sculpted below would often entertain the teachers too. I would always do the most sculpting during a movie. And doodle away. I would also draw comics on my work. I had a character who would guess what score I would get on tests. Often the teacher would add a speech balloon responding to him and how accurate his prediction was. Have fun everyone! Also doodling and sculpting help you focus learn and retain information ESPECIALLY if you find it boring so anyone who has a problem with it is being illogical, controlling and doesn’t;t care about teaching or students learning do they? So what do they care about? Anyway gauge the teacher and situation before attempting. Fun video thanks!

My favourite thing to do is draw and yet my maths teacher calls my parents even if I have a piece of paper with a drawing on it. She said to them I get distracted in class but I am also 3rd smartest in the class and I always get a good score on tests. 10:59 YES!!! IM NOT CRAZY!!! Except I use the end of a mechanical pencil, poke the holes in, and then dig it it out making a 2d eraser picture. I made a really crappy spider and a scared or confused fish. You can actually smooth stuff out with it by constantly erasing with your thumb.

When taking Microbiology in University, I would draw in the margins of my notes on whatever they were referring to. Kinda in the same vein that mnemonic phrases work, I would sketch weird combo characters to remember whatever virus, parasite, or organism we were learning. Case in point: The proper name of the virus that causes "the Common Cold", is called the Rhinovirus. In the margin I drew a sick Rhino, complete with tissues, wrapped in a blanket, and a cuppa. Fun way to reinforce what you're learning while still actually taking notes on topic. Did my initial training as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the U.S. Army. Never got in trouble for this method with my schoolhouse Drill Sergeants (plus it kept me awake after pulling all night fire guard duties), so i'm pretty sure grade/ high school teachers should be kosher with this tactic too.😎✊🏼

My favourite thing to do is draw and yet my maths teacher calls my parents even if I have a piece of paper with a drawing on it. She said to them I get distracted in class but I am also 3rd smartest in the class and I always get a good score on tests. It confuses me so much and I am always looking for ways to draw in class without getting caught. Please make another video on things like this one but on how to be sneaky.

Except I use the end of a mechanical pencil, poke the holes in, and then dig it it out making a 2d eraser picture. I made a really crappy spider and a scared or confused fish. You can actually smooth stuff out with it by constantly erasing with your thumb.

It's true 😊 I used to doodle all the time in class... Then teachers assuming I wasn't paying attention would ask me to repeat what they had just explained and I would almost repeat it word for word... Yet they insisted I stopped and then I couldn't concentrate... I never even managed to get a high school diploma while my highest IQ score ever was 147... I'm not exactly normal though 😋 I'm autistic and have issues... Don't take life lessons from me

When taking Microbiology in University, I would draw in the margins of my notes on whatever they were referring to. Kinda in the same vein that mnemonic phrases work, I would sketch weird combo characters to remember whatever virus, parasite, or organism we were learning.
Case in point: The proper name of the virus that causes "the Common Cold", is called the Rhinovirus. In the margin I drew a sick Rhino, complete with tissues, wrapped in a blanket, and a cuppa.
Fun way to reinforce what you're learning while still actually taking notes on topic. Did my initial training as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the U.S. Army. Never got in trouble for this method with my schoolhouse Drill Sergeants (plus it kept me awake after pulling all night fire guard duties), so i'm pretty sure grade/ high school teachers should be kosher with this tactic too.😎✊🏼
