Nice selection. Great lead off with Josh. And you can never go wrong with Reina del Cid and Toni Lindgren. Hadn't heard Pia nor First to Eleven before but was impressed. Nicely done.

    Three main takeaways:
    1) It is easy to underestimate the musical output of Tom Petty, He didn't really fly under the radar for me, but at least at the edge of detection. It takes compilations like this to remind me how many songs that I know and like were actually written by him.
    2) It is easy to underestimate the impact of Canadians on the U.S. music industry. This selection is largely (maybe exclusively?) made up of North American artists, and three out of ten are from Canada. And I wouldn't be surprised if this reflects the industry as it is.
    3) It is easy to underestimate the insane amount of talent to be found in "another one of those YT cover bands", who actually produce original music. While I know Josh, Reina del Cid and Walk Off The Earth (since their cover of Somebody That You Used To Know, played by four people on one guitar), people like Athen's Creek Pia Ashley and Adam Pearce are definetley worth checking out.
Speaking of Canadians and talent: Jess Moskaluke from Saskatchewan is nowadays a well established country artist in Canada, but about ten years ago built her YT career with a series of exquisite cover versions across then genres, feauturing her strong, slightly raspy voice and often working with Jake Coco and Snuffy Walden. "How to save a life ", originally by the Fray, is still a heartwrencher with all the pain and regret she put into her rendition. Her current output of original music is, well, Country, but pretty relatabel. And her voice is still one of my favourite ones. No idea how she might fit into this channel, but if you ever should feature Canada and/or Country, make sure to check her out.

Never heard of Jess before your post. Checked out "How to save a life" cover (one of my favorite songs), and yeah, really well done. Thanks for the great heads up.
