Yes this is them older, but the guy who conceived the wall album/ sang lead on this (roger waters) left the band before this performance, so this is only Nick Mason, Rick Wright and Gilmour. (This is also why the vocals sound different, they are trying to compensate for waters not being there)
W lore as always thank you bro
@@OCG_Silver just so there's no confusion, David Gilmour, vocalist and extraordinary guitarist, is the original co-lead vocalist on this song. He is the predominant voice on the song and sounds as good or better here than he did on the original album. Of course the amazing guitar solo speaks for itself. Considered one of the greatest of all time
I saw this concert live at Soldier Field in Chicago in '94. One of the most extraordinary concert experiences ever!!
Yes! 🙌🏻
tbh roger has really lost a step or two. it's a shame still love him though
@@snozbaries7652 he is just a little too egotistical but its alr he make good music, like animals, the wall, the final cut and even wish you were to an extent are all pretty self indulgent, good, but self indulgent
RULE #1 NEVER interrupt a David Gilmour solo!
RULE #2 Always follow Rule #1!
I didn’t know!!!
Just found you and please never pause during a solo!!! Thank you for sharing.
I'm 71 years old and I love watching the younger generations see what real talent used to look like. No auto tune or mixer assistance.
Pausing a Gilmour solo crashes the time/space ship and leaves us stranded in a different dimension. Dangerous!!!
uh oh
It's like trying to divide by zero before you learn calculus.
Stage designer: "So what do you want, what's the budget?"
Floyd: "Yes."
It's so sad that the younger generations never can experience this live like we did 😢
Saw them on this tour in Oakland CA.... What a show!!!!!
Notice how nobody in the crowd is jumping or cheering, they’re all just standing there in awe
No cellphones either.
@@secondchance6603 because 1994.......maybe has something to do with it. wish I could go back to a time before smartphones they have ruined concerts
@@snozbaries7652 Yeah... because 1994, pretty obvious.
No singing along either so not just technology but taste
What anything from this concert will change your life!
David Gilmour is on tour later this year, Nick Mason is also touring. Roger Waters (who left the band prior to Pulse) is also touring.
woow so glad they are still poppin!
@@OCG_Silver😂 Legit trying to figure out if I could afford seeing Gilmore.😒 Missing that check every 2 weeks since I retired! 🤭😄 Doh'! 🥰🐰
"Sorrow" from this same concert.
Thank you for this! 🫶🏻🙌🏻 loved it! 💖
Can't wait to see you do The Wall.
Glad you like it, but please don't interrupt during David Gilmour's guitar solo! Rule #1.
lol sorry apparently that’s a rule I didn’t know about, remember tho it is a reaction to be fair, thanks for the support though 🙏🏾
You have to experience more of this concert - "Sorrow" (don't miss that one!), "High Hopes', "Keep Talking" - so great!
Yes, remember - Floyd formed in 1965; by the time of this concert they'd been together for 30 years! (essentially - there were some member changes over time, but that's a whole other story) Check out the size of the crowd; it tells you so much about how much this band is loved, by fans who were with them at the start, as well as the fans they picked up over the years. Like Mozart, they'll be playing Floyd 200 years from now!
You're going to love The Wall. There's also a movie The Wall. Both are awesome!!
im rlly excited!, thanks for the support
Oh yeah, also, I uploaded this concert to my iTunes. I prefer this specific live version of this song better than the original recording. DG sounds his all time best here. His guitar playing is epic, and to address a slightly snarky comment, DG is just as much PF as Waters. Waters is a brilliant soul, and in mho, a tiny bit of a twat.
Just a tiny bit? LOL
Brilliant lyricist but an insufferable proper C.
If there's a concert with better music or a bigger spectacle I want to know about it. You can't go wrong with anything from this show. Sorrow and One of These Days are both heavy duty bangers, and Great Gig in the Sky is heartbreakingly beautiful. From their Delicate Sound of Thunder concert I recommend On the Turning Away and Dogs of War. 🤘🏽💗
great gig in the sky is soooo good😩
@@OCG_Silveryes, it really is. The live version from Pulse makes me cry every single time.
Next artist: Led Zeppelin, The Who or The Beatles
"LEARNING TO FLY" "and "ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL" from this very same PULSE CONCERT. Also you might want to react to the second best live guitar performance. Dwayne "Blackbyrd" McKnight of Parliament-Funkadelic solo of "Burdie" (actually BIRDIE) Playing with THE BRIDES OF FUNKENSTEIN in Houston TX.
David Gilmour has the most emotionally eloquent guitar on the planet. Looks like a plumber, still plays like a God. Should be Sir David Gilmour!
love dire straits but this was the best concert of all time, tho pretty easy to do when they have so many great songs and vibes 'and Doctor Strange is always changing size' indeed
🤗 Desperately trying to figure out if I can afford to see Gilmour play NYC. 😏 For him, I'll even go to NJ. 😄 Its where I saw Pulse. 🤔 Also where I saw Rush open for Kiss! 😍 Definitely left a Rush fan and that lasted 4 decades! 😁🐰
Rush opening for Kiss. Hard to believe eh??
@@user-jd7is2dc5z 🤗 And Manfred Mann too! 😏 I couldn't get "Blinded by the Light, revved up like a Douche, she another runner in the night" out of my head for days after. 😂 I was pretty much a Sr Citizen when I found out what the 😳 actual words were! 🤭😁🥰🐰
This is the last song they played together at Live 8 in 1985. The Wall is complex and will take effort to grasp.
Just fired one up, I’m on the way.
Pink Floyd started many years ago. They were architectural students, which you can hear in the sense of space in many of their works. You should look at some of their early performances: ruclips.net/video/8zo-pg3ZTyI/видео.html
Dire Straits "Sultans of swing" Alchemy This will Rock your world. I just subscribed.
I really enjoy your reactions to Pink Floyd..but sheesh.. you have to understand..it’s rude…and disrespectful to the artist to interrupt their solos (jus sayin)
thats why i pause and rewind, gotta remember this is a reaction after all! thanks for the support though man!
This concert was pack 13 days in a row and their last.
Sorry dude -- as other commenters have mentioned... if you pause during a guitar solo, I stop watching the video. 😞
You just lost me in a different dimension by pausing please come and get me!
lol im coming
I was floating into the abyss! Abrupt stop and I was lost.
I’m on the way! Scottie more bong hits!
If you want a lot of views try Grand Funk Railroad 1969 live inside looking out best American rock and roll group they are funky and they got a lot of Blues and a lot of American rock and roll
NEVER interrupt a David Gilmour solo!
Yeah... i first saw em in 73 and 3 times after. Except for Roger Waters. Same drummer and Keyboards. I was always wasted so the only one i would recognize is Gilmore. Best band ever.
I guess no one's told you yet? You NEVER pause during a Gilmour solo!!!
dude if you liked pink floyd you shouldd listen to their brothers by genre king crimson they are amazing too!, if you will star with their debute but you need to edit that bc of copyright
I recommended him listen to In the Court of the Crimson King, so perhaps that reaction will happen one day, but he has a pretty loaded list of videos to make so don’t hold your breath, I believe a piper at the gates of dawn reaction may be coming soon.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
Never EVER interrupt a David Gilmour solo. No matter WHAT you want to say, keep it to the end - don't interrupt.
Three rules you MUST obey when watching Pink Floyd:
1: NEVER interrupt a Gilmour solo
2: Keep your eyes OPEN - Pink Floyd is as much a VISUAL performance as an audio one
3: SEE Rule 1.
At least you gave the band the full screen with you in the corner - so many do it the other way round. So good for you for that at least,
lol, chillllll
I was praying really hard that you would not pause during a guitar solo. But Never a David Gilmour solo. Especially this song. But you are OK ???
DO NOT INTERRUPT A DAVID GILMORE SOLO.
Oooh that was painful, pausing a guitar solo!
Did the police catch them?
