What still blows my mind is the fact that a group of guys who were still in their 20s created such masterpieces. I know it’s an overused word, but in this case, it truly applies.
An artist’s ( painter) skill is knowing when to stop putting more paint on the canvas, it’s the same with Floyd’s music …just knowing when it’s complete and doesn’t need anymore. ( less is more)
I’m 56 and I’ve listened to this since I was a teen but until recently did not truly feel the words It makes me cry sometimes because it’s just life., Most of Pink Floyd is just that.. Shine on you crazy diamond should be next for you Same concert ❤ Love you did this my friend 😊
first time i heard this -in the seventies-was at 2.00 am in a v8 panel van doing about 120 mph down a deserted highway .when that intro started it felt like we were in a space ship traveling through time. that song always takes me back to that amazing time-an absolute masterpiece
My dad instilled a love of Pink Floyd in me from birth. He's gone now, but every time I hear them, I think of him. Love ya Pops. Thank you Saeed for reacting to great music!
I've been listening to Pink Floyd since the mid 70s, still love them. This was a great performance, RIP Richard Wright. You reacted to Rush & Pink Floyd on the same day, thanks for that!
I was 8 years old when I was first introduced to Pink floyd when an older brother took me to see The Dark Side of the Moon in concert. I am 59 now and till this day, I am always listening to the Floyd.
❤❤nice..you get it..also..if you have a good ear you noticed the final verse..home..home again..is known as the breathe reprise..its sung live in concert when david sings the long version of breathe in the air..the 1st song on the album.
Saeed, I followed you over here from you reacting to the incredible, mesmerizing, and very sweet, humble, and graceful.........the one and only........Lucy Thomas, who has the best vocals (really not even close) on the Planet now, and could be ever, if she has a long career! Pink Floyd, like Lucy, is very precise, very articulate, and their music, like Lucy Thomas, stirs up powerful emotions where you feel what David is playing as his guitar energy steps into your very being and whisks you away into a state of serene, tranquil, musical bliss!
This song will always be one of my favorite Floyd songs. Just timeless, hard hitting, and still feels fresh. This is a good live performance of Time, but do yourself a kindness and listen to the studio version to get the full impact of the incredible guitar solo and production elements.
You cant miss the sound of the roto-drums so very distinctive. When we (old bastards) went to gigs, we were at the gig, we lived the experience, &, we remember being there, we don't need a blurry jumping image to say "I was there" , we WERE there totally immersed in the sights & sounds.
Such a great time growing up without internet and phones. No one to take your pic, no one to find out where you are lol. Calling your gal at a pay phone sitting in your car late.
Still holds true to this day. One of my favourite songs of all time 😁 (couldn't resist that) Have a listen to the album version. David's solo is so much more epic 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
My husband and I listen to two albums in surround every single Friday night, ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ and ‘Wish You Were Here’! I know every single guitar note, drumbeat, everything and love it so much! I really learned more about it after meeting my husband, I was a little younger in the 70’s, so kind of missed the famousness of it.❤❤ Thanks Saeed!!❤❤
I’ve always been conscious of time but you don’t respect it until someone actually brings it to your attention. This don’t made sense when i was 44, now I cherish everyone moment.
Pink Floyd "Echoes (Part 1)" live at Pompeii 1972 No Audience, No Lights, No Pyrotechnics just Gods playing to the Gods Just a, little song about all life on the entire planet. How life started in the depths of the oceans and we are all just echoes of that explosion, we are all related and should be better human beings.
SO GLAD I found your channel. You are so “satisfying” to listen to. Your reactions and verbiage are just as inspiring and engaging as the music itself. ✌️Right back at you brother.
If you had asked me in 1978 what I was planning to do with my life I would not have had a response, but I was loving life Fortunately I found my vocation, never looked back, and still love this music
I like that you didn't just hear the music...you were feeling it...just as I was the first time I ever heard it, so long ago. I enjoyed seeing you appreciate it. Cheers
30 yrs since the concert, 52ish years since the album. I am 59yrs old and the fact that this song is still revelant justifies my existence. just sayin''.
Been listening to a bunch of your reactions lately. You really know how to interpret the lyrics of these songs. Look forward to more of your reactions, keep up the good work...
Will be seeing Nick Mason and Guy Pratt live in a few days, they are on tour in the UK. I feel privileged, because before you know it, 10 years have got behind you
I have come to really appreciate the very long into and build up, pretty audacious at the time, and almost unknown in todays music. Can't imagine all the sessions, trial and error, and pure creativity that went into the creation of DSOTM.
The song that becomes more relevant each time you hear it. I first heard it when I was 15 and I’m now 54. And time keeps ticking away and slowly running out. Profound yet obvious - which is why the album speaks to so many people. Uncomfortable truths 😊
Hey there, Saeed!! Nice to se you again..binge watching reaction vids to catch up. So far behind. Sorry for the 3 day late comment. Pink Floyd was definitely a band that you sat and chilled out listening to their words and music. They could get very deep with those lyrics. A fantastic band indeed. Thank you for your reaction to them and your astute input 😊. By the way, I saw you had reacted to Mary Did You Know a while back. Forgive me for not remembering the artist who performed that one, but I can tell you both PTX, and Home Free also did covers of that song. Both were great, but you know me, I'm partial to Home Free's version. If you haven't heard those versions yet, please check them out. I guarantee you won't regret it. Hugs to you and your family ❤
Hi Deborah, Hope you are well! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. I will make sure to add those versions to my list. Have a great day!
What is remarkable about Roger Waters (lyricist) is that he manages to say a lot, with very few words (233 words in this song). He perfectly masters metaphorical and poetic styles to express his ideas, while leaving ample room for the imagination of his listeners. Suggested future reaction: (Brain Damage + Eclipse), studio version with lyrics. Do not separate them, since they are indivisible.
well done on another great pink floyd reaction, i new you would enjoy this one, id recommend sticking with the pulse concert and try "MONEY" or "ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL", guarantee you will enjoy both aswell as many others
Thanks, Saeed - glad you had lyrics.. this song is genius.. really makes you think.. appreciated your reaction!.. (request idea: Queen or Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballe.. I think you would enjoy)
Happy you’re rabbit holing this concert. Some would label them as a band that druggies listen to. Nonsense! They are masterful musicians with meaningful lyrics and music!!!!
You spoke on being 15 or so before you had decent internet connection. I was two years into my 2nd marriage when I downloaded my first satellite image. It took me 4 hours.
Life was better before the phones and internet! Today people are wasting valuable time just staring at a damn phone! I dont get it, and dont want to. Im so blessed to be in my teens in the 70's and 80's.
I'm a real dinosaur.,but glad. Too much info on too many people by just a push of a button. If my folks in 1970 told my 17 year old self they would give me a device that I could use as a phone that would go anywhere with me but could track me wherever I went,,😂😂😂😂😂. You guys REALLY HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT HAVING NO PRIVACY OR RIGHTS NOW & THAT SHIT SURE HAPPENED FAST.A bunch of lemmings to the sea.
What still blows my mind is the fact that a group of guys who were still in their 20s created such masterpieces. I know it’s an overused word, but in this case, it truly applies.
As well as them being musical and lyric geniuses!
@@lorriredmon8212 yeah I bloody hate that😅
@@Pomdownuder Still, it’s true.
Roger waters was way ahead of his time, its like he came from the future or something and knows how it feels
Ya gotta give props to Alan Parsons, who was the sound engineer for the original version

The Pulse Tour was the best live show ever... and will be for the eternity.
Saw it at Earl’s Court ❤
Saw it in NJ at the Meadowlands! 😵💫 Couldn't see for days after, 😒 but somehow made it to work. 🥰🐰
olimpic stadium Barcelona
@@nunoferreira6920 Old Cleveland stadium 94’. I was 20 and tripping balls. Still the best concert I have ever seen.
I was in lisbon, at Sporting Clube de Portugal Football stadium, at the second show...simply unbelievable.
As you get older the words to this song gain greater meaning
I’m 56 and I’ve listened to this since I was a teen but until recently did not truly feel the words
It makes me cry sometimes because it’s just life.,
Most of Pink Floyd is just that..
Shine on you crazy diamond should be next for you
Same concert ❤
Love you did this my friend 😊
Must be amazing to have heard this so early in life and then hear it over the years. It hits different each decade.
Thanks so much for being here 🙏🏽❤️

Some of the most profound lyrics in Rock.
"No one told you when to run...
you missed the starting gun"
Saw PF in concert 3 times…amazing show each time, quad sound and lights and lasers and planes and inflatable pigs….insane
Try 'Us and Them' it is beautiful.

Those lyrics were so far beyond their years. And at 67, they've never meant more...
One of my favorites. So glad you did this one. As always, great reaction.
Beautiful song! Will definitely relisten to this one many times. Thanks for watching.
next one from Pulse concert - Coming back to life . 3 good guitar solo . 🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶

Saw them live on this tour. Truly incredible experience.
The cerebral band of Rock!!! No peers, no other band like them, they are a genre' unto themselves!
A masterpiece, and it will always remain one. It's as simple as that.
