[HEADPHONES RECOMMENDED] Call of Duty: World at War [2008] Nazi Zombies - Nacht der Untoten (Night of The Dead) Sounds are named from what the game calls them in files.
What's worse is that the families of these Marines will never know that they died a gruesome death not by getting shelled from artillery or have their brains blasted, but ripped to shreds by an endless horde of the undead.
@@izhmash6502 True. And perhaps something like this: The rest of Allied troops discover Nacht Der Untoten the next day later and found hundreds of dead zombies as well as soldiers' mutilated bodies. They were identified through their dogtags, and inform their families about the death of their loved ones, but they cover up the cause of death.
What's scary about Nacht is that even if it's a small map, it has a scary ambience that makes you feel like there's someone there other than you and zombies
Residing in an abandoned airfield fighting an infinite amount of nazi zombies at night during a full moon was hella awesome. Nowadays you don’t have that luxury or the feeling of it actually being zombies.
@@drakevevo3710 idk about you, but as someone who has played all of the cods (with zombies, except BO4 because i just don't like it), I kinda prefer the funny bows and staffs, as they provide more things for you to do in zombies other than just drinking sodas and buying guns, but that's just my opinion.

I’d always hear amb_spooky_2d_02 in some parts of the campaign and it’s always made me wonder what could actually cause the noise in such a war torn setting.
Hi, my professor of game design class used to worked for Treyarch and he involved the Nacht Der Untoten. He and I discussed about sound design and I showed him the video of this as well as amb_spooky_2d_02. Behind the scene of this sound, he told me the sound is actually wooden electric saw.
I recently played this map again and I gotta say.....as a veteran zombies player, this map STILL gives me chills The creepy, almost demonic sounds of the zombies, the underlying ambiance, that radio that let's you knife it which btw at least for me, the scariest part of that radio is when it begins to play the song used for the Werhmact's victory in the multiplayer. Hearing that song as your fighting an enemy you ALREADY KILLED when he was alive is amplified 10 fold by the radio blasting that song as you get mobbed by now undead soldiers, groaning and hissing at you with nothing else on it's mind but to bring you down

nacht der untoten will Always have a special place in my heart it's the one that started it all and it still gives me the creeps definitely my favorite zombies Map next to Moon, Origins, and asylum!
A part of me felt that the zombies storyline should have been more of a mystery and left to be interpretated, which would have made future installments seem at random. It would give zombies maps somewhat more bone chilling as you are stranded in What seems to be in the middle of no where... But treyarch left clues for curios players, to piece together something that left them with more questions than answers and each new installment contributed towards twists and revelations. Some what like Fnaf and I guess that's also what makes fnaf scary. And also I prefer world War settings rather than futuristic.

I remember a few years ago a friend and I were playing some Nacht online late into the night. We waited for sometimes up to 30 minutes until we would join with a random other player.
