Got mine yesterday and I’m loving it! It’s sooooo nice smooth a and quiet. This is a no excuse method of exercising, just sit down and pedal, awesome!
Definitely, it is a better option than not exercising at all. You are using some part of your muscles in your body and burning some calories. Do everything moderately. If it hurts, stop and opt for a workout that suits your body. Simple as that.
Does it burn a lot of calories 🤔??
Thanks
Love mine. I do forward n reverse cycling
I like this type of bikes. I exercise using it every other day
Silly question , I live in Canada and I just bought this bike. Is the distance set in miles or kms ? Thanks in advance !
Wow! This is so helpful! I have started using exercise bike from today!
How do I turn on where is battery?
I love my recumbent bike!
What kind do u have?
When I use my bike it always burn my quads feel good also keeps you heart healthy.❤
I am thinking of buying this bike is it really worth the money ,Olivette

4 years of trucking has taken its toll let me tell ya.
Good luck to ya.
What brand are u buying?
Got mine 6 month ago What could cause my exercise bike to start clicking and grinding? It's coming from the inside of the housing.
mine too!
Stretch stretch stretch when you're done. Elite athletes say if you don't have time to stretch when finished, DON'T do the workout.
Why do I have to stretch??
Do we work the abdominal muscles with this bike? I heard that the upright bike works the core muscles more.
Yes just tighten up your midsection
It strengthen our leg muscles
Can u reduce the weight from this?
I was wondering why my gut shrunk after using this for a long period of time
Great information since I ride rhis bike #MrsDonna
my mom told i should do it very slowly for an hour so I won't damage her bike. =D
What muscle group is worked on if peddling in reverse
The opposing muscles groups.
Which muscles are worked by using a recumbent bike? There, I fixed you video title.
What is the point of a recumbent bike?
Why doesn't it strengthen the muscles around the knees?
It can you have to move the seat further out if you are tall and sit on the edge. I'm short and when I move my butt to the edge I feel it in my knees.
@@Navaura Thank you.
How often should I do this a day?
Nordicctrack
@@richardacosta5585 she asked how often (like how many times) can she do this in a day.....
i would do it like 3 times (2 minimum) for 15 minutes @ruth jordan
@@pinkpastelhearts I would do it while watching TV or playing video games
Hand weights while cycling.
I just got an idea from you. Thanks
@@scottyj6226 Good. Glad to help 🙃
Safer to get the fitquest bike ke with resistance bands.I am clumsy so I would drop the weight while cycling 😩
I don't agree at all. ride an upright for a few months and the go on a good long recumbent ride and you'll see your legs hurt in the back and at a different part of the calf up higher.
I ride a recumbent at the gym very similar to the one she's riding, and I also regularly ride a mountain bike. I do intervals on the recumbent, and it helped my climbing game on the trails considerably. My quadriceps definitely get more of a workout on the recumbent.
I don't think Druce is saying one is a good long term substitute for the other. You can't ride an upright for months and then expect to be on your A game with a recumbent because they are completely different machines that require completely different body positions.
Before I started training for XC mountain bike racing, I just rode my mountain bike. Awesome cardio, but my legs got the shit beat out of them the first time I got on a recumbent at the gym. Since I started racing, I alternate between the mountain bike and the recumbent each week. About two days on each, but sometimes I may have do three days at the gym if the weather is poor and I can't get on the trails.
Bottom line: I don't use either one exclusively and I have no muscle issues. The recumbent training improves my MTB performance considerably, but unfortunately it doesn't work both ways. Riding a MTB doesn't really do anything to help my recumbent training other than keep my legs lively. I can ride 17 miles on my MTB and feel like I could do another 10 easily. 17 miles on the recumbent and my legs are ready to abandon me. For this reason, I use recumbent training for leg & core muscle building, and when I'm on the MTB, I use that time to hone my bike handling skills on the trails.
@@sixstanger00 thanks you very much for your review because it was what I was looking for. In other words I think the recumbent bike is more suitable for home practitioners who wants cardio in a confortabile position and also develop better leg muscle. Please correct me if i am wrong.
@@labranjames Correct. As long as you push yourself hard, you're going to get more cardio on a recumbent. I wear a Fitbit and over 60% of the time I'm in the "cardio" zone," whereas on my MTB this may only be around 50%. The main reason is that mountain biking offers some downhill, so you're not pedaling 100% of the time like on a recumbent.
@@sixstanger00 I appreciate your answer a lot. I am thinking of buying a recumbent bike for my apartment. The only reason I am still undecided is because the recumbent one takes too much space but great for my back and for its purpose while the other one is smaller, cheaper and even foldable.
Do you consider being very important choosing one with high flywheels weight? Would it need to be more flywheel weight for recumbent considering the motion?
@@labranjames It really depends on what you intend to use it for. If you're just going to be spinning your legs to maintain muscle tone, a lighter flywheel would be fine. If you're going to use it for training purposes like I do, heavier flyhweels are better.
However, I should note that the unit I use at the gym is a LifeFitness model and has 5 or 6 different resistance levels to choose from. Level 1-3 are pretty much just you spinning the pedals with no resistance.
Since I race mountain bikes, I use the maximum level 12, which actually goes up to 16 during my workouts. Brother let me tell you...level 16 will set your quads on fire.
Overweight 300lbs. Use bike ?
I would recommend one yes as it is low impact, you are more likely to use it every day as it is in your house (staring at you accusingly) and you can go at your own pace, slowly building up. Dont spend the money if you know you will give up after a month. Good all round work out for large muscle groups and cardio. Good luck
I won’t ride my bike outside, too many bike accident’s!
Recumbent uses a lot less glutes than a regular bike.
What?
Anyone else come here hoping she’d say abs? 😢
She said abs 😊
why do people always want to sell shit ? that don't work $$$$$$$ just work out and sweat...that's all it takes..
UMMMM
Some people are housebound and unable or incapable of making it to a gym. This is a low impact exercise inwhich some people could benefit from. Any exercise is better than no exercise.
Maybe we got the cash to splash and you don’t.
This is a workout for many, especially those who are overweight and I do sweat on my bike... btw... your comment means nothing after Covid... most machines are sold out
Thank you for stating the obvious, duh. You might as well have just said it encompasses your leg muscles. How stupid do you think we are that we need you to explain this?
Dont be a beeeotch
Or a Yenta
Theresa Petekiewicz, ah but most of us are smart enough to realize this without complaining! She may also have been listing them in order of emphasis of this exercise on a recumbent bike. If you're such an expert why did you watch in the first place? That's a rhetorical question in case you can't figure it out...
Thanks
