Yes please do. After waiting 50 of my 61 years between Super Bowls, I’d like to hear more and win more Super Bowls before I go to the big gridiron in the sky!
Any 60+ year old chiefs fan remembers the double overtime loss game on Christmas Day, 1971 against Miami knows it’s the start of a 15 year drought in which the Chiefs did not even make the playoffs. Also, the game was at old Municipal Stadium in KC (capacity 35,000) and did NOT sell out in time to be broadcast locally in KC. My family and I had to listen to the game on local radio with Bill Grigsby. What a different time for the NFL and for the family unit in this country! An NFL playoff game on Christmas Day that was blacked out in the home market. Christmas was more important than the Chiefs in Kansas City in 1971.
@@chopsieflores4844 Probably so on KOMU Channel 8. There was a camp/picnic spot off 24 Highway where my dad would take us with our “portable” 19” TV west of Glasgow, MO to watch home blacked out games sometimes on Channel 8 KOMU. I know for sure that game did NOT broadcast on WDAF channel 4 KC or any channel in KC for that matter. I’m sure you can reference that info online. Being outside the 75 mile restriction KOMU/NBC channel 8 was able to broadcast blacked out Chiefs games back in the day.
@@brianloy7856 I have vague recollection of SB III, Joe vs Johnny, but the SB IV I remember vividly. The following year’s loss to Miami marked the end of the old KC Chiefs and the beginning of the Miami dynasty. It’s too bad the Chiefs didn’t win that game and squeeze in another SB before the team aged out
Grew up in KC…was watching in Des Moines at my Aunts house. I saw the KC A’s and Royals in Municipal Stadium, but never went to a Chiefs game there, but remembered that game and my sadness. I never mentioned it to Jan Stenerud when I looped his bag at Milburn GCC in Overland Park. 😂
Not Andy, nor Patrick or Travador. Nope that man right there, Clark Hunt, he is responsible more than anyone for the Chiefs dynasty. Job well done Clark we are honored to have you represent us here in Kansas City.
I live in Kansas City 1991, when i first came to the USA. When the Chiefs got into the playoff, i was so happy. But the Chiefs got beat by the 1st round. Then almost 30 years, they wins the Super Bowl, thats like dreaming. The owner must feel like hes in heaven now. 3 Super Bowl in 5 years. If 3 peat, and make history, thats insane
The goal line in the game of American Football is the most significant line of demarcation on the entire field. This goes back to NFL and College Football’s growth out of the game of Rugby. You protect YOUR TEAM’s end zone from the enemy. You give up 6 points if you allow your opponent to “touch the ball down” on the ground (To score a Touchdown) on or beyond your end zone. Therefore, if you can cause your opponent to fumble the ball before scoring a TD and that fumble rolls into the end zone and is recovered by the defense or rolls through the end zone and out of bounds it’s a “touch back” in which the defense gains possession and starts that possession at their own 20 yard line. It’s a rule for a reason and should NEVER change as it goes to the core rule concepts of the game. Just as there is a significant reward (6 points and a PAT) for crossing the goal line WITH possession, there MUST BE a significant penalty for losing possession in or through the end zone. What’s next? The NFL should change to rules for the offense in the end zone? 5 downs inside the red zone? Offensive Holding is legal in the red zone? The defense gets only 10 players after the 50 yard line? 9 players in the red zone? The NFL has already significantly changed the game to favor the offense AND protect all 22 players. The touch back rule should NOT change! This is football. Not basketball on grass!
Sure, it's a longtime rule and it makes sense to have it. It's just a little weird that a fumble out of bounds anywhere else on the field returns to the offense at the forward progress of the ball carrier (or previous line of scrimmage, if no progress was made by a ball carrier on the play). And of course defense gets a touchback for a fumble _recovered_ in the end zone, and if the offense recovers the ball there (outside of 5 minutes remaining) they score. The most logical thing for me would be to keep it a turnover but have the defense get the ball at the spot of forward progress of the offensive ball carrier. That way the opposing offense has a harder time moving down the field (because the rule as it stands is apparently in place to help defenses now, even though they don't touch the ball on that type of play?)
By putting the ball at the 20 instead of the spot of forward progress, the fumbling team's defense is given a harder field against the opposing team's offense. Doesn't seem like a rule that benefits defense to me.
Here we go again, for all Chiefs games we have to listen to comments and watch the camera pan to Taylor Swift. Arghh. The NFL has become a broadway play more than a sport.
They show her for like 15 seconds in a 3 hour broadcast, and she’s the most popular human in the world right now. Remarkable restraint, I think. It’s fine if you’re not interested, but stop expecting everything to be for you.
Clark Hunt only cared about the Chiefs when they started winning. Dude doesn't even live in KC. He reneged on a promise to build the team a new, updated locker room last year. The area around Arrowhead Stadium is undeveloped after decades, and frankly, a dump. He tried to pawn a stadium tax on local voters last year, threatening to move the team if it didn't pass. He gets way more credit than he's due.
Im her because the name I read Taylor, NFL is a family affair now. Us, women and younger gen are added member of NFl. Lets face NFL names smokes alot because of that name, 60 mins appearance will not hurt you chads and brad

As a Cowboys fan this is the owner I wish we had.
Mahomes is the Wizard and Kelce is the Shaman.
Nice interview. Thanks.
Man, Lamar Hunt would be out and about around town.
Rich needs to understand that endzone is the defenses territory if you fumble and lose possession through the end zone it becomes your opponents ball
I wish Clark would bring back the old look when the Arrowhead first opened.

Stop talking 3 peat! Let it happen naturally. You piss off the entire league and make yourself a target for the entire league!😂
Sweetie be real. You think that makes a difference?
💪💪💪
My former boss. I used to work security for his organization
I don't want that rule changed. Why make the defenses have less of a chance to stop the offenses?
