Both of you are golden. I loved this. I look forward to your update on his tank AND him destroying you in a rowing match. This was one of your most genuine videos. After listening to your podcast and seeing this video its great to hear how you've both overcome your struggles and you continue to thrive. Thank you both, honest.
I'm not one that talks about my own struggles much, but after watching this I feel inspired to and I think I have a responsibility to after both of you guys did! You're both inspirational in your own way, as Ben just explained his story and struggles on here and I've heard George on the King of DIY podcast about his military days etc, I'm a 23 year old full time student, I suffer with bad anxiety, eating issues, autism, and possibly ADHD, now I know how hard life can be at times, and how the fish keeping/aqua scaping hobby can be as I have 10 tanks myself, 1 temperate, 7 tropical and 2 reef tanks, I'm not the best at planted tanks as I don't have the money or resources particularly at the moment as I am a student, but I enjoy scaping and keeping my corals and fish just as much as you 2 guys! I wish you guys nothing but look and strength, hopefully more people shall open up and find their own therapies etc :)
These are my favorite types of videos George! We get to meet great people and learn their stories and there’s aquascaping involved! Doesn’t get any better
Good stuff Bro as a fellow Para-Olympian, I have 4 tanks and with my motorcycle my tanks are my Meditation + Medication + Therapy + Relaxation. Hoorah!!
One of the most inspirational and thought provoking videos I have watched for a while and perfect timing for this. #iam thank you Goerge and Ben for this. 🙏 how can people not like the power aquascaping and the comunity around it bring!! 💚
One of your finest videos! A remarkable story of Ben Pritchard and how he has adapted and the self awareness of adversities and making a positive of the situations with the connection of aquascaping. An amazing person and the connection you have made with him makes the video truly inspiring. I am sure there are many who use aquascaping as therapeutic outlet for mental and physical issues and who better to open the door of aquascaping than yourself! THANK YOU!
A truly inspirational watch from both the scape and Bens life! Having worked in a aquatic shop for years now you hear how much of a positive impact the hobby has specialy over the last 2 years creating routine or just a escape from the challenges of lockdown but seeing this passion and escape through this video is amazing and heart warming 😁 Ripples Bridgemere says HELLO George 🙋🏻♂️
Thanks so much for this video George. As with Ben I've been following your video's now for a year or so and really has inspired me to take up aquascaping again after not having a tank for 10+ years.
Guys I loved the video! I can relate so much to the conversation as an Amputee and a combat veteran that struggles with mental health personally. I love how this community continues to bring people together to share their amazing stories to inspire others! Beautiful scape as well gentlemen! 💯💚
Thank you Ben for sharing your story with us, and George for highlighting it! One of my favorite things about keeping aquariums is how everyone finds a way to help their own unique issues and keep peace of mind through the hobby. ❤️
A lovely video, Ben you are an inspiration on how to overcome adversities and make the best of situations in a postitive way. George a great video, and a lovely scape. The connection between the pair of you is really nice. Hope to see more of Ben when you revisit the scape in the future. Both take care.... keep on scaping..
Wow. Huge respect for someone overcoming some massive obstacles there. Welcome to the world of planted tanks from a fellow Welshman. One question, is that a 900mm light on a 1200mm tank ? The light coverage looked brilliant
Aquascaping is such a thing, here you need to have a natural flair and at the same time understand how it will look. So that it was natural, but beautiful at the same time. It is desirable that the master who creates a new underwater world has an underwater experience, and he has fixed pictures of the natural underwater world in his memory.
George, just to mention, that apart from the aquarium stuff in this vlog, I really really like the non aquarium stuff also (your dialog on mental health and so on) Great stuff! Thanks And oh, I read your entire book yesterday front to back. Will start shopping tech og tank now :)
Hey George. A bit late to the party on this video but am in the market for a new aquarium and was considering this exact setup, Biomaster included. Do you foresee any issues with the inlet filter placement being behind the hardscape? I've tried to avoid this in my current tank so would be interested to hear your thoughts.
Great set up.trying find what is best set up to have.want keep discuss my tank is big to set up.have two eheim 1500xl 2060 JBL CO2 3heaters have 3 tubs of earth.a one very large lump of bogwood.tank is 165”w 36”h 28”d trouble is it’s so conflicting some say you should do this others say do this.that leaves you not knowing what the hell to do.I want a plated tank.
Watch out for CO2 in a small space. A lot of the CO2 will leave the water and accumulate in the room. The worst that could happen is you'll get headaches and sleepy. Make sure to vent out the room everyday.

I agree wholeheartedly. Very uplifting video. Always enjoy coming across genuine people.

Shouldn’t be an issue unless there’s a significant blockage in circulation around that area. Test and adjust.. 😃
