    Wow, I was thinking totally opposite. I would think doing CPR in the trendelnden position would make more sense for gravity to help with perfusion to the brain and vital organs.

    I noticed you did not mention the ITD. It seems our service may not be able to outfit the units with the EleGARD device anytime soon, but what are your thoughts on the ITD w/ active CPR device such as a LUCAS?

      Thanks for the question. The ITD works well but IMO requires ACD CPR with the ResQPump to be most effective. The creation of increased negative pressure along with the impedance threshold device mechanics allows for improved blood flow. Marry that with heads up CPR where the blood is more effectively moved out of the brain and it's a win-win.

    Sadly, only large agencies, usually 3rd Service/FD tax-based can afford things like this. We can't even spare the money for 2 batteries for our AutoPulse because they're $1K each! Just gathering dust. :/
