Just a reminder, tracer doesn't have to be wearing the Chronal Accelerator, she just has to be near it. Also, the one used during the battle was completely destroyed, not damaged or out of Chronal energy. It's understandable she would be destabilized from the time-space continuum, rather than being debilitated, like in previous animation. Widow might have damaged it, but it likely has a failsafe, something that keeps her present in the event of a discharge, like in the animation where they defend the Doomfist. She probably shot too much and ran out of energy. Also gotta keep in mind that this battle was before any of both animations mentioned above, so, the Chest Piece could have been upgraded to discharge or take a hit but keep her present. This also means she lives cuz she is currently alive and this is the battle before Doomfist was captured and sent to prison. Oh, and they weren't shooting the probably bullet proof Gauntlet, that'd be dumb. There's a force field around Doomfist protecting him from and eliminating any projectile. Seems like physical entities can go through though. Now, now, I'm not hating. I found this video hella funny. Just wanted to clarify some details for those who are curious or maybe had doubt about the lore ^_^ I'm so sorry if this looks like hate or anything. Great video, by the way.
The tracer thing is accurate. 1. The device doesn't need to be ON HER. 2. Widow Maker didn't DESTROY the device, but merely temporarily screwed up with it. How else would you explain the device going back online? Imagine a phone going on sleep, is it truly off? or very low power? 3. Doom fist literally DESTROYED the device, so tracer can't control her ability.

So : 1. Tracer isn't dead but just chrono-dissociated ; she can't touch anything and randomly disappared and re-appared for hours, sometimes for days. 2. If she didn't get c-d (chrono-dissociated) in the trailer and in the "alive" cinematic short, it's because his chrono-accelerator have just been damaged, not *destroyed* like in the doomfist origin trailer 3. If she didn't get c-d in the -smissmas- chrismas comics it's because tracer don't need to have the chrono-accelerator on her chest all the time, but just to have it not far (it's been confirmed by Blizzard on Twitter). So there is no inconsistency :3

I do like the voice actor for doomfist, but if he was doomfist it would be amazing if he yelled power every time he punched. He just would give the character so much more personality. I think I'm going to like his gameplay but not his lore. Imagine every time he started to come down after using his ultimate he yelled the p-p-p-power thing

Just a reminder, tracer doesn't have to be wearing the Chronal Accelerator, she just has to be near it. Also, the one used during the battle was completely destroyed, not damaged or out of Chronal energy. It's understandable she would be destabilized from the time-space continuum, rather than being debilitated, like in previous animation. Widow might have damaged it, but it likely has a failsafe, something that keeps her present in the event of a discharge, like in the animation where they defend the Doomfist. She probably shot too much and ran out of energy.
Also gotta keep in mind that this battle was before any of both animations mentioned above, so, the Chest Piece could have been upgraded to discharge or take a hit but keep her present. This also means she lives cuz she is currently alive and this is the battle before Doomfist was captured and sent to prison.
Oh, and they weren't shooting the probably bullet proof Gauntlet, that'd be dumb. There's a force field around Doomfist protecting him from and eliminating any projectile. Seems like physical entities can go through though.
Now, now, I'm not hating. I found this video hella funny. Just wanted to clarify some details for those who are curious or maybe had doubt about the lore ^_^

1. The device doesn't need to be ON HER.
2. Widow Maker didn't DESTROY the device, but merely temporarily screwed up with it. How else would you explain the device going back online? Imagine a phone going on sleep, is it truly off? or very low power?
3. Doom fist literally DESTROYED the device, so tracer can't control her ability.

+Rev I'm pretty sure she needs access to it to be able to teleport around, but in any combay situations it would be to much of a risk to not have it directly tied unto yourself so you can go anywhere without having to worry about dragging a machine around.

1. Tracer isn't dead but just chrono-dissociated ; she can't touch anything and randomly disappared and re-appared for hours, sometimes for days.
2. If she didn't get c-d (chrono-dissociated) in the trailer and in the "alive" cinematic short, it's because his chrono-accelerator have just been damaged, not *destroyed* like in the doomfist origin trailer
3. If she didn't get c-d in the -smissmas- chrismas comics it's because tracer don't need to have the chrono-accelerator on her chest all the time, but just to have it not far (it's been confirmed by Blizzard on Twitter).
So there is no inconsistency :3
