I’m pretty sure the longevity of TF2 community came in the fact that both teams can communicate with each other, rather than the enemy team being silent. Heavy can ask for a dispenser and both teams can hear him. This allowed communication between strangers and a lot of fun being had. Also the Minecraft scene at 5:12 is pure nostalgia to me.
I think its more cause of the personality of each class have, each one of them as a personality that we like, plus the lore and the comic give us a good and unique story (a bit sad that we cant see the end of it), the community also helped a lot with stuff like the nope.avi or the spycrab even sfm stuff.
@@reddemon993 well, other games have characters with unique personalities and stories, like Apex Legends for example, which have characters with interesting personalities and backstories that intertwine with each other and the arenas. In fact, the story and interaction between the characters are pretty much the only reason why I still care about Apex. What I’m saying is that there are still other games that have unique characters, but TF2 strives in the simplicity in said characters. While in Apex most of their real stories are buried under the game, you can easily tell what each Merc is like just by listening to their little voice lines.

I had an idea for a spy sapper: the Turncoat (name can change) is a sapper that changes the enemy building’s allegiance from the enemy to your team. It would do no damage, but still go faster if you damaged the building. It also wouldn’t work on enemy teleporters. These buildings could not be destroyed by the engineer and can not be repaired, so if they’re damaged they’re stuck like that. I think it’s pretty neat.
You know that would work for spy and engie. engie could have it have a wrench and as you said a sapper for spy I think thought it has been made on the workshop somewhere
@@Dripgogeta2411 I feel like it wouldn’t work great for engineer. First off, engine has to be close enough to the sentry and hit it with his wrench, and which would be near impossible for a lvl 3. Also, the idea of switching sides fits spy more than engineer. Even so, it would be neat to see.
The actual gameplay clips remind me of this one time I was playing spy and my team was getting dominated by a sniper. I was right by him but he was angled at a wall that I couldn't stab him, so I waited there for my chance to strike. During that time, I jokingly called him a spy which caused him to stand still and look around. Our sniper immediately headshot him and I still look back at that moment fondly.
