Gotta thank you Jeff. I was having a hard time finding safe buckets for water and never seen the aquatainers. I just picked up 4 of them. You're the man!
Thank you for sharing the good tips and knowledge. An honorable mention to the list could be is an emergency gas generator placed outside the the house when in use of course.
The number one must have I cant find for the life of me. Nothing at home depot or lowes. I will get my hands on a few of those buckets if it's the last thing I do lol
I have a drip acclimation kit I bought off of Amazon for 20.99. And the way it is setup allows for you to drip acclimate and temperature acclimate at the same time by letting you float the bag as you drip acclimate. Hasn't failed me yet.
Those Brutes with dollies are a god send. I have several of the 55 gallons on wheels - RODI, mixing can, and waste can. Put cheap pumps in each one to move water around, and man - so much easier to do maintenance.
Love your videos and your podcast I want to leave a 5star review on the podcast but Google podcast dosen't alow me to. Awesome knowledge, just got back into the hobby after 10 years and setup a IM nuvo 14 pen
I had so many small pumps laying around that had no idea what to do with them, as soon as you mention return area of the sump, one went there, and then I decided to dump one on my overflow box and that was magic all the slime (bacteria) that was getting accumulated at the bottom is gone now (BTW the smell was awful I will take the skimmate smell over that stuff 🤢). Thanks!
They are, until the kids want to roll it when I'm not looking and hit a transitional floor. 30 gallons of saltwater on new cherry hardwood floors. My wife wasnt happy...I almost got beaten lol
@@MadHattersReef try one sometime theyre pretty great jus a light abrasive, although im not sure whether theyre safe with acrylic or not since theyre an abrasive but ive also never had an acrylic tank so theres that if u have acrylic then i would double check online that a magic eraser is safe i think they would be but thats jus speculation i dont see how theyre hard enough to cause any scratches but also could depend on quality of the acrylic as well… i guess if u wanted u coild try one on the back corner of the glass where no one will be looking at anyways and see if it leaves any marks bit u should be able to get an answer by jus googling it im sure plenty of people have used them on acrylic and posted things about their experiences with using magic erasers on the acrylic i jus use a razor blade most of the time unless j have a large area and its a pain to hold the razor blade and do all that work then ill jus use the magic eraser its also great for cleaning the silicone get any algae off it that has grown on it without damaging it like a razor blade obviously would which is always important when u have clear seams and u can see the algae really easily and magic erasers are the best thing for cleaning those areas that ive tried thus far
Many thanks for all your videos sir!
My pleasure!

The best thing about this video is the off-brand Mr Clean. Is that like a Mexican mr. Clean? I love it.
I have lots of those things. Agree on the list. Keep them coming.
Thanks for watching!
I love you vids brotha helps me all the time and gives me new ideas

Do you remember the name of the unit?

They are a great way to set up a mobile water change station.
@@MadHattersReef They sure are! Cheap too.
Problem with me is thati cant have those brute cans on the living room and theres no way i can take it upstairs from the basement lol
Check and check! Great list!

Great list brother!!
Use a zip tie to tighten the ball to the baster. It helps you get a good hard blast of water when you need
Great tip!
If using the wheels with the Brute trash can, pull the trash can, don’t push it. If it does catch on something you won’t push over the barrel
I would trade out the laser thermometer for the Hanna Salinity/Temp checker. This is hands down the best tool for water changes.
And if you're a nano/pico reef keeper, a deli cup.
Was waiting was waiting was waiting BANG here it is, the *** bucket ! #1
I use Yogurt bucket cuz i have a small... aquarium
🤔
I made a mess of my last bucket and learned just how much I relied on it.
I’m getting another heater and the air blocks
I only drip acclimate corals. Fish and inverts just get temp acclimated and dropped in.
Brute wheels are the best!
They are very rugged.

@@joeymerrell8585 LOL!! I'm lucky, my tanks are on tile in the basement.
Magic erasers are much better than sponges imo
I’ve never used them

The only thing you cant put in a 5 gallon bucket is another 5 gallon bucket. Pita to get apart
Haha
My brother sat on a stack once lol
No Protein skimmer,No Wave maker pump,
No Titration pump. The easy way to enjoy reef life.
