It takes the dude and Autzone longer to find a clutch disk than it takes this man to rebuild one.

Too bad the guarantee is for the life of the truck and the driver, and not the guy 'rebuilding' the clutches, because in all odds, the old man is going to live a lot longer than anyone in the vehicle using these clutches.
Yeah, instead of forcing the spring to compress with a shim he should've either changed it or tryed to make it open more (and test if it would deform after, of course). And that rusty blade he put in the place of the broken one, I don't know, he cleaned all the blades before, why not clean this one too? In the end he hits the hammer randomly, missing a lot of rivets...

да хрен с ним с дедом. он лепесток алюминиевой заклепкой приклепал. про демпферные пружины я вообще молчу. ремонт уровня " пакистан"

I am amazed by his work, but much more amazed by the fact that he still does it at this advanced age and those fine dusts he has breathed in all his life have not afflicted him!
Agreed he's a master of his work. He probably looks ten years older than he is though, certainly the chemicals and dusts would effect him, and there is no pension or free ride over there, it's not even in their mindset, you retire when you can't work any longer, until then you work as much as possible to provide for your family etc.

He did more than i expected he inspected the whole plate for metal fatigue,checked springs for slackness and replaced the friction surface , a real professional job.
A true recycler if i ever saw one.

We used to do this type of work in the USA, but then it became cheaper to buy a new or rebuilt part than to have a mechanic shop do the work, mechanic shops went to using new parts out of warranty and liability reasons. When I started working as a mechanic back in the 70s we would rebuild just about everything but those days are gone.
I can't believe he's 90 !... He is still very youthful and more like 60 !... with his great working skills

He married last month a young 18 year old maiden. They are expecting their first child and his 15th.

Немного непонятно - зачем сначала выстукивать лепестки в плоскость, а потом менять лепесток. Следом опять выравнивать плоскость и разбирать дальше, ставя на ребро. На мой взгляд, несколько этапов работы проделано впустую. Но все равно респект мужику, руки золотые)
